I thought I heard it all when Sarah Palin admitted that her and her family crossed the borders to Canada to receive medical care. Isn't this the Queen of Death Panels and the poster girl for the National Tea Party? She's a card-carrying neo-con and against the health care reform law. Isn't she a walking contradiction? Same for the blowhard neo-con, Rush Limbaugh. He bellyached and bitched that if the health care reform bill was passed, he was going to go to Costa Rica for medical care. This is the same douchebag that bellowed that he was leaving New York if his taxes went up. Well, we waited for to call his bluff and he's still here. Promises, promises...

The neo-cons never cease to amaze me, they criticize everything that the liberals stand for and are the first ones to jump on free health care when given the chance.

It's all I seem to be hearing in the news lately. Is this thing really going to pass after all? One thing that caught my ear, was New York state would get 12 million towards Medicaid if it does pass. It does sound encouraging, considering it's been a full-blown pissing contest between Conservatives and Liberals (and some in between, such as Independent Joe Lieberman from Connecticut).

As of last night, I heard they need something like 216 votes for it to pass. Well, it's not perfect but nothing ever is-especially when you're dealing with bureaucacy and politics. It's a good start. My biggest concern is taking care of those who are uninsured and underinsured, the Americans who fall in that gray area. The ones whose income is too high to qualify for Medicaid or state-sponsored insurance programs. The people who can't afford the insurance offered through their jobs because the premium is too high.

Beth, you inspired me to conjure up this one. Your recent blog entry got thinking of how everyone, including us girls need to have guilty pleasures. This is true when having a particularly stressful day or just a shitty one.

Beth, this is dedicated to you.

My list of guilty pleasures-

1.) Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream

2.) A good, reliable vibrator-this one is for us girls.

3.)A good book to curl up with when there is absolutely nothing to watch on tv-even cable.

4.) Getting a nice relaxing pedicure-complete with foot massage.

5.) Treating ourselves once in awhile-this can be buying a new outfit, that fragrance we've been wanting, etc.

6.) A night out with friends.

7.) A Calgon moment-a nice, hot, relaxing bath.

8.) Going to Barnes and Noble-yes, the one that has a Starbucks in it.

9.) Curling up in bed and channel surfing until you find what you want to watch. Bogart that remote control!

10.) Take up the invite from that guy who asked you out, even though you just broke up with your boyfriend.

11.) Watch the shows you've missed via On-Demand.

12.) Start walking, it's free, good exercise and helps clear your head.

Yeah, right!!

No one in their right mind would vote for Sarah Palin if she ran for President in 2012. Stephen Colbert, American satirist and pundit referred to her as a f***ing idiot. This is a woman who ends words with the "y", as in changy thingy. Oh my god, how annoying and hoaky can she be! I think that the conservatives put her in the spotlight to annoy liberals and conservatives with some intelligence. John McCain's making her his running mate sealed the fate on his campaign. No one could possibly take this woman seriously, especially her views on death panels and her resignation as Governor of Alaska. I cringe when I think of her catch-phrase, "I can see Russia from my backyard."

The Republicans had better wise up and come to their senses and find another candidate to back for 2012. There are much better and logical choices other than Sarah Palin. Perhaps Michael Steele, Condoleeza Rice or Rudy Giuliani-someone of substance and intelligence.

John Edwards seems like your typical guy, I won't say man because he's not worthy to be addressed as such. He's guilty of thinking with the wrong head-and not the one on his shoulders. Not only does he get caught cheating on his wife but fathers a child with his former mistress. The best thing yet, he denies being the father-big mistake! What did it take for him to admit to the paternity of the child? Rielle Hunter threatening to have a DNA test taken. The only ones here I feel sorry for it the child in question, Elizabeth-his wife and his children.

Finally last month, he owned up to fathering the child. Elizabeth and him are currently "separated". The newest thing to surface is an alleged sex tape of him and Rielle Hunter. The hits just keep-a-coming. The rate this guy's going, he won't be able to run for dog catcher in this country.
