hi all, whats new? lets take a look at the latest catch.. click on their pics to go to their blogs..
beautiful women are like flowers in the summer.. youthful, colorful, variegated..
I just heard a claim that merely talking to a beautiful woman raises a guys testosterone 12%. a wild statistic, Im not sure I believe it. however the psychological effects on men of merely seeing a beautiful woman are starting to be measured and its surprising. it probably confirms the efficacy or at least the strategy of littering them all over in popular media and advertising.
a very interesting study I would like to do is determine if women in the media are becoming more beautiful on average. or possibly, measures of beauty shift gradually over time. I suspect this may in fact be the case. this would suggest a red-queen like evolutionary race as predicted in matt ridley's book, "the red queen".
1st, links that turned up..
that girl Debrahlee Lorenzana is quite a trip, she's the one who said she was laid off from a wallst firm for being "too beautiful". it wasnt widely known until recently, but it was discovered she was on a reality tv show associated with plastic surgery. she was quizzed on this wrt her lawsuit and said that the two issues were "not related".
and then here's a link on a women complaining about how bloggers are ogling republican women, referencing an infamous playboy article that was yanked off their web site long ago [featuring sarah palin]. the 2nd article was suggesting that the women are demeaned because they are regarded as sex objects I guess. its that old catch22 for guys.
