INDEPENDENCE DAY the 1776 revolution leads to the digital economy. who needs the ruling elite from great brittan. just go buy a new ipod or iphone. trade in that apple air book for a dell laptop and you're digitally re-engineered. independence day the movie from roland emmerlich is perhaps the best end of the world movie ever. emerlich's end of world [e-o-w] scenario never really materialized. the planet has yet to be evacuated because of a devastating solar flare. military graduates will tell you the e-o-w will never happen. the war to end all wars already came and went. ww3 not needed. end bush's oil embargo in reverse. set a course for the world wide digital economy. iran/iraq is a has been and what a waste of time. the politics of the end of the world seems to obsess the department of defense. not so with the federal communications commission or the department of justice. america founded in 1776 and later codified with the constitution which served as a blue print for the future of democracy. guess what else is on the internet. let's watch a bad movie instead.

only 7 of 10 sites have the designated e-o-w movie desired. yahoo movies [y!] is probably the most comprehensive. "also ran" movies include night of the living dead road warrior the mist the stand miracle mile a boy and his dog the terminator deep impact 12 monkeys zombieland and the matrix. will smith shows up twice. bruce willis didn't make the top 10 and shows up twice anyway. emerlich has 3 of the top 10 e-o-w movies. top ideas for the end of the world. a man made plague turning everybody into dead people vampires. other big idea is an invasion from outer space by technologically advanced aliens hellbent on killing all humans and taking over the planet. the headlines and top 10 links for the latest "valleylist" are included in the youtube playlist and all playlists are included in "valleylist" videos. also new for "valleylist" is the new publishing calendar 7.04 to 9.11. and take a tip from the "valleylist" bad calendar project on flickr. it's all technology and politics. next week "manifest destiny".
publishing and regulatory finds the best of the constitution is in fact the inimitable bill of rights. "valleylist" 2012 adds a weekly focus on publishing and regulatory including the real time "valleylist" newsfeed. perhaps most important constitutional right is the freedom of speech including freedom of the press. the first amendment to the constitution [1787] says "congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof or abridging the freedom of speech or of the press or the right of the people peaceably to assemble and to petition the government for a redress of grievances". the department of justice enforces laws and court decisions based on the need to protect the freedom of speech including freedom of the press. the fcc protects freedom of speech through agency action and investigation. the department of defense literally fought off the english to found a new nation.
conclusion. some are still waiting for the end of the world. most are astonished that the american constitution and bill of rights stand as the foundation for democracy world wide.
