#2:

what silence is to me: for one, it’s like Stathi Stathi says:as a communication tool, it can be a powerful response;

but for another take on ‘silence’: think of what exists only in your head, and what does not need to be spoken or written.

* ‘low-lying energies’ , the phrase comes from the great and good  post:

The only art in photographed objects is in
whatever was in and of the object and
was carried over to the photograph
(most of that is the accurate capture
of light – which is, as far as I ken,
is inaudible except maybe for the
northern variety.
I too had an epiphany about Silence, sir.

I see it as a blending back into the collective background surface characteristics which are social habit . which is rude these days. impatient. made this way by the corporations, u ask, ume?
ah maybe but maybe a larger Universal Law of nature emerging. these laws are often forgotten, cuzza human laws....
the honest duty of the Artist today, ume, has to be able to bring back
the inclination to Live again, long forgotten
but after this art work, you see as not thru glasses darkly.

we must paint the world with Love and Create Beauty again, in an Ugly Century of the Emerging Empire-At Large.
with this nitwit internet.
wired into the collective head deep as you can go...do.not
drown.
~
do you fear drowning?
Dear emmerling;

fear drowning?

yeh, when drowning.

So Carl Jung. I guess he's not alive now?

so much done on the collective since;

the below surface collective which you

would better than i speak on

from memory on an impulse

like now;

except, i know there was efforts to end the war

by unwiring all above ground;

maybe end the drought this way.

Where's Art?
Ume, so good to meet you, see and read your work. It is true that nature carries secrets in its silences, and it is an inner energy, some times so fragile and in same instant so strong as a stone. Your metaphorical work on silence so accurate and true. Thank you for this, it is a great image!!! Rated, with many thank you!!!
They ask me, “why u like this ume?” cuz they don’t wanna put the time into pondering an ume post.
I say unto them, “he is a crazy old cracker.” That will give em something to admire about you.

Drowning is an universal fear among Homo sapiens sapiens… why so much ‘sapience’, you ask?
This is not funny.

unconscious Jungian ( I mean I have read Jung. That is all I damn mean) examination of ume’s exclamation :”efforts to end the war

by unwiring all above ground;

maybe end the drought this way.

Where's Art?”
~
Loaded questions from a crazy cracker. Art is here. Where other would he be? Perhaps there is an incarnation that holds the head of Art james, but in 3 centuries we will think of him as Homer, a collection of men.

STAHI is another story. She is a sweet expert in English.

“. It is true that nature carries secrets in its silences,
and it is an inner energy,
some times so fragile
and in same instant
so strong
as a stone.
dear emmerling;

run silent

run from questions;

note: what is beauty but the voice from the body

you've woken with telling you to open the windows

to get a little wind: it's pure blue out
pure blue you say? my vision is still stuck in the 21st century
sometimes
when i visit it for fun.
i prefer a somewhat vagueish time period where they got
what i need now
but otherwise, hm, cannot pin it down.
anything could be happening.

we could be under Zeus's curse for all we know.
he came back in that movie.

Ume,
Jokerman on the news in red hair, I swear it is Loki to end the World.
Then I change the channel and am challenged somewhat with the announcement of some weather. I have had an earful of weather warnings from my meteorologically manic old german dad George…

“Jim the weather!”
“Oh my word!”
“Stop talkin like a sissy boy. You know better.”
“sorry dad”
“umhf. I don’t mind sissy boys like this crackerjack old country seed Ume. They got the land to work. We are not workers o f the land.”
“What the f are we dad?”
“ach, education? I dunno. Something. I always wanted to be a Radio Announcer, or a minister. Not a damn teacher.”
“huh”
these are hard words from the old hickory seed sissy boy ume,
dad says. i say, he aint a sissy.
dad says ah ha just kiddin the old farmboy.

sorry for dad. ume,
there are times to retreat and times to ...not retreat..the opposite
of retreat...i have retreated, sir
to the Heart of the Retreat and it is a treat there surely
but a man must do his bit, eh?

so i dunno. i guess i am gonna go on the opposite of the retreat.
i may branch out politically and call obama a teddy bear boy.
i dunno.
they say, today, sunday, is a day of Play indeed.
Play for the Glory of the Lord of the dance, or the dancers
themselves. the dance is
the dance is
grace.

the fancy in in the dance? it is religion. it has rules . of HOW to dance.

that is kinda like asking us to
take their advice on how to Breathe
or some such silly thing..
oops. sorry, dolly lama.
he is boo dist.
he says watch yer breath brother. who be breathing whom or what,yo? (advanced ghetto zen)
i hadn't been able to
articulate this at all before i
Found this lovely,simple piece in Stathi's Gallery Collection. A beautiful contribution, Ume.
