When I was a young girl, I remember thinking, as all young girls must, "Adults just don't get it." I resolved to keep all my letters received from friends and classmates, along with various journals, so that if I ever had children I could read them and remember what it was like to be a child. Well, I am 35, and have no kids, but am still a child-at-heart... and I have a LOT of letters and journal entries that I am going to transcribe here over the next several months. When the letters refer to me by name, I will not use a pseudonym, however, all other parties referred to will be given pseudonyms.
