Gee Tink, the last I heard Irene was just a cat.2. On the Gulf Coast where I lived we call that just a really big rain storm. I gotta hand it to the boys and girls of the weather channel though they are doing their best to make it sound like a second katrina.

I'm not sure, I'm praying it won't be bad, got lots of friends on the East Coast --- from here and other websites I have frequented. So hopefully, some wind, rain, and the wicked witch gets blown!! :D

This happened on the panhandle coast in FL during one of our more vicious storms, ... I hoped at the time that their last party was a good one -- the building was flattened.

lefty, that's going to be the biggest problem, flooding. NYC, the low lying areas, are being evaucated, they started that like yesterday. The storm is going to cause some surges you ain't seen since your days on the Mexican Surfer Circuit!!!
