The Fence

Rate: 10 Flag

The fence1

Cunningness of deceit

evasion of the word

white washing boundries

grabbing lies

the fence is now absurd

Ridiculous derision

offending decent ears

bombastic suits

lashed to the truth

build high the gate of fear

Transistor rectifier

resistance of control

unscrupulously

deregulate

all manner of cash flow

Circle up the wagons

lash close the blinding flap

anesthetize

immoral eyes

release the native gaff

In other words

control the herds

with money

food and fence

abstracted sense

sit high upon

all others

ambivalence.

Fat cows do little besides eat and fart.
Keep 'em happy and 'round them up for slaughter.
They won't ever even notice..
Yip Pee!!
[r] so very well and elegantly said!!! ( ...Mission's message also potent.) duopoly of both parties using media now incredibly to herd us all, half the time they don't even have to pretend any more it is THAT easy and it has been going on for so long now. especially liked "build high the gate of fear" and the last stanza really knocks it out of the park! best, libby
The unwashed herd is happy to mingle, chew their cud and moo when told.
Very well done!

Vote and mean it!
This is an awesome summary of the state of the American democracy. As someone on Bill Moyers said: we the people don't have representation because we don't have a lobbyist. R
Wow. The power in these words.....R
Very clever and well done piece, tg! Love the illustration - and the last stanza, especially, is my favorite in terms of summing up the point.

I feel strangely fenced in right now?
Didn't it go...put your clothes in this pile, your jewelry in the next and the showers are just down the hall?
