Flowers In The Garden

Rate: 17 Flag
Gee, the sun is shining in Oregon and things are starting to flower in our gardens...there are buds on the dogwoods.  Things are starting to happen outside other than just the rain.

Can't help was time to take the camera outside and get a few shots.

Beautiful pictures. I'm enchanted by that crocus.
I love the crocus shot. Are these really blooming in your area? My area is pure slush and mud. Everything here is shades of grey and brown. Yesterday at church someone brought purple tulips and I couldn't take my eyes off of them! Thanks for the burst of colour.
Lovely these ... beginnings of spring ...
I followed ann1liese. I am glad I did.
Minds need etched images to recall.
Minds can serve us as a hard drive.
Mind can call forth a healthy image.
I needed a uplift of a beautiful image.
One day in another ill/greedy `time.
Oy Same/same Hubris/Greed. Fake.

(not you etc.,)

King Lear stood in a doorway . . .
Lear says:

"Poor wretches, whereso'er you are,
That bide the pelting of this pitiless storm,
How shalt your houseless heads and unfed sides,
Your looped and windowed raggedness, defend you
From seasons such as these? O, I have ta'en
Too little care of this!
Take psychic, pomp:
Expose thyself to feel what wretches feel,
That thou mayest shake the superflux to them
And show the heavens more just."
The later Lear's admission . . .
"O, I have ta'en / Too little care of this!"
He goes into denouncing "painted pomp"

superflux is vanity - wealth. Remember:
Feed and shelter the poor. Why rob them?

The poor are testimony. They indite rich.
Many "poor" have "wealth" within. True.
It's wise to not rob, hoard - ay reap reward.

I am happy I came back to read. Thank you.
Sometimes Art follows us ...
and then we follow back ...
and find Art’s art ...
where ... unlike Lear ...
such care ...
always ... so much care ...
from the deepest ...
warmest ...
regions of his heart ...

Thank you - both of you ...
Lovely. I like that daffodil caught beneath the stick. It is going to spring up soon I imagine.
Delightful! Here in Maine, I started gardening two days ago pulling my first weeds. It's about 3 weeks before I would normally be doing that. It's wonderful. I can almost smell your flowers.
I love the sharp contrast of the magenta/chartreuse of the plant on the cover.
We're just beginning to see crocuses in the Great Lakes region. The show is finally starting.
Great picks in Easter colors.
Lovely and springy.
I love the daffodils, they go so well with my last poetry post :-) r
I can't tell you how grateful I am for the ID on that last one. It's growing in our yard, and I've been unable to find it in my flower guide - perhaps it's not native where I live, in Vermont. For what it is worth, I have referred to it as the "playtex tampon applicator" flower.

Anyway. Thanks for sharing! Spring, spring, spring! yeah!
Lovely photos! Hooray for spring!
OMG they are gorgeous.

Gorgeous. I like how all of your backgrounds are green and alive, too.
Sooo beautiful! Thanks for sharing. :)
What JLS said! Excellent light work.
