Wrestling With Wrestling With the Bible

 . . . From the Talking Pew

Hi Folks,

I've been wrestling lately with this Wrestling With the Bible project.

I have enjoyed sharing my thoughts about the weekly scripture and the words of all those amazing biblical figures: St. Paul, Jesus, the Psalmists, Isaiah, Margaret and all the Mary's -- and God, for that matter.

But the time has come for me to take a leave of absence from my Bible project, as I've taken on some new projects.

One of them is my "life riffs" blog -- you can find pieces of it here on OpenSalon under my name, Barbara Falconer Newhall, and in all its glory at my more capacious blog, http://BarbaraFalconerNewhall.com.

I have a Facebook Page -- Barbara Falconer Newhall. You can join me there, and you can find me on Twitter as TalkyBarb.

Another of my new projects is storytelling. That's right -- I'm learning to tell my stories out loud, in public and in the flesh here in the San Francisco Bay Area. Read all about the lively storytelling subculture at http://barbarafalconernewhall.com/2012/03/26/storytelling-a-hot-new-trend/

Meanwhile, I'm also working on a book about one woman's search (mine) for God (or Something!) in the life stories of a dozen or so fascinating people -- Christians, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhist and an atheist or two. Keep an eye out for it!

Thanks for your kind comments and support. Happy blogging to you!
