The Presidents Birth Certificate?

Rate: 3 Flag

I cannot understand this birth certificate thing.  When I went to get my innoculation shots for school, I had to show my birth certificate.  When I started to school, I had to show my birth certificate.  When I started playing Little League baseball, I had to show my birth certificate.  On many occassions during my adulthood, I have had to show my birth certificate.

Some one please explain to me why our president will not simply show his birth certificate.   Maybe I am just not inteligent enough to understand his reluctance but I would like to know why.  Please help me!

yeah, and when you apply for a passport like, say, if you were traveling to indonesia with your father... The whole issue is phony perpetrated for political reasons. It's an exercise in how stupid can we prove americans to be and this is one that shows that there's no shortage of idiots roaming this country.

Having to show your birth certificate, for everything, Licenses, pass ports, college, kids going to school. This all started after 911, and it is really sad that we still have to change our way of living, because of all of that.
As for the President not showing his birth certificate, I don't have clue as to why he hasn't, and not sure if he already has shown it and no one has caught wind of it yet.
But I will say this, I don't think all the other presidents showed their birth certificate either or were even required or requested too. Whose to say that they did or didn't. But I am pretty sure none of them showed theirs', so if they didn't show their birth certificate then why are we all making a huge deal about Obama, not showing his. What makes the other ones so much different then him?
I stay out of politics, just a subject that I really don't like to get into debates or discussions about.
But since you asked me to come over and read your post, I did. And I totally understand what you are saying. I hope you understand where I am coming from also..
Ron, I'm not sure he hasn't, you have always had to have an authenticated copy of your birth certificate to obtain a passport. I'm sure he has a passport. You cannot convince the people who choose to believe he isn't a "natural born citizen" that he is indeed legit. [I have a blog coming up on this very topic].

BTW I read a post yesterday regarding commenting and rating. I don't know if everyone but me already knew this, but if you "rate" after you comment...your rating goes away once you leave the persons blog. Really. Oh my, I did it again. I'll be back to rate.

I think it has been shown so many times that Hawaii has issued a :
"hell no we don't have to show it anymore"
declaration.

by the way, I'd rather make it a law to believe in evolution than to show a birth certificate, to be prez.... just sayin ;)
He hasn't shown his birth certificate. He has several law firms fighting the disclosure and has spent one million dollars already to keep it private. Now what? All presidents have had their birthplaces confirmed. It is the responsibility of the political party the president represents to verify they are a natural citizen.
There's a distinction here between an original birth certificate and a certified copy that a birth certificate exists. I just sent away to the state of Wyoming to get a copy of my birth certificate and got the latter, which is the same thing Obama does show and which has been produced. What people are clamoring for is his original birth certificate, which has not been shown. The latter only validates that the former exists. IMO the whole birther controversy was fueled by comments from Obama's step-grandmother. Ridiculous though it might be, it's a family issue.
Please, tell me you aren't one of the lunatics who perpetuate this non-issue. Just because he isn't showing to you - or dimwit Orly Taitz - does not mean that he doesn't have one. If you are still in knots over this bullshit from FauxNews, you can take me off your announcement list.
It's obvious why he hasn't. Becasue he must have been born outside the USA so therefore he's illegally holding office. And those birth announcements in the Hawaii papers at the time, it just shows how vast is the conspiracy to plant a foreign born differently pigmented person in the White House. Why, even the Hawaii hospital is in on it, including any number of present and former emploees who must know The Truth. Keep up with this worthy pursuit. Your intellectual talents would be squandered elsewhere.
I am neither a lunatic or anything but a human who does not understand spending a million dollars to keep his original birth certificate from being shown. Why?
Produce the proof that President Obama has spent $1M on this nonsense. And after you manufacture that, take my blog off your favorites list. You don't want ME as favorite, trust me.

Yep. You're in Alabama allright. Hung up on trivialities to prove the superiority of the white race????? Our President has more brains than the entire state of Alabama put together.
Hi Ron,

Sincerely, I would like to help you, but in general with any of these kind of queries, more concrete information would be helpful so that we can have a true discourse.

Where is story coming from? Who are the official sources saying that he has spent $1 million plus to conceal his original birth certificate?

I think you genuinely want an answer, but without concrete facts, we are left to speculate. I did a little Google search and every link that came up was (no surprise) way right wing.

Therefore I am left to conclude that this is a silly story trumped up by The President's adversaries who are grasping at the ludicrous to discredit him -- all ridiculously in vain.

Respectfully,
Alix
I asked what I thought was a legitimate question. I do not have an opinion on this either way. Some of the comments I have gotten about Alabama and the people who live here are unbelievable. There has been many articles about his birth certificate as well as his college transcirpts. I assumed that others had read the same articles. I just wondered what others thought. I could care less if he was born on Mars. Some of you people in here need to get a life and learn how to read. As far as people like Penrose go, you can all kiss my Alabama ass.
I generally reserve judgment on stories where I am not well informed and do not have all the facts. I think the $1 million figure comes from legal fees paid by Obama himself to a particular law firm and some paid by the Democratic National Committee to the same law firm. I don't believe those all have to do with the birth certificate issue, but there are those who take the two figures, add them together, and come up with about a million, and say, see, he spent $1 million to do such-and-such. It isn't necessarily so.

None of us here know the facts or circumstances of our current president's birth, and like with anyone else's, we must just take the word of others or documentation for it. The state of Hawaii has documented his birth to their satisfaction and to the satisfaction of those who determine whether someone can hold that office. I think the entire thing, as I've said before, is a tempest in a teapot created by a step-grandmother who ran off with her words. I don't think any of us would be having this conversation otherwise. That, to me, is a family issue, and not a national one.
