Hail to the King Baby

I'm not suse why I chose that title for today's post. My guys says it sometimes in his movie announcer voice (he could totally be one of those voice over guys if he wanted to). I think it's from a videogame. Me and one of my friend's went to lunch the other day (hi friend!), and we discussed videogames. She told me of a game that terrified her when she was young: Hunt the Wumpus. I had never heard of such a game. And I listened with interest as she discribed it to me. It's fascinating how far technology has come. I'm trying to think of the game that scared me as a child. I cannot remember the title for the lif of me. Maybe my readers can help me out: it's an original nintendo game, it's adventure/strategy,  you have to travel and collect objects throughout your quest... that doesn't help much. The things that stick out in my mind from that game are having to collect and light a blue torch in order to kill a banshee, and being in a room full of mirrors and one of them sucks you out into space when you break it. Maybe my sister would know... hey sis, what the @#$! is the name of that game? It's got a picture of a stone gargoyle coming to life on the front cover, too. I'm trying to Google it right now... this is going to drive me nuts.

Hey guess who's ready for a new job: this girl. Something has to give. I won't dwell on  the subject long, I'll just say that I'm worn out in more than one way. Speaking of work, there was a wedding last night. It was very nice. Someday I'll have one of my own. That makes me excited. With every wedding that takes place in our banquet room at work, I take mental notes on what I do and do not want for my own wedding. I've already secured a wedding planner (hi other friend!).

Are you interested in how the pie turned out the other night? Well, It was poopy. My conclusion is that my dislike did not come from poorly made pie, it came from me not liking meringue. At least the mystery is over.

My mom just called my sister and asked what the name of the game was: Shadowgate!! I'm going to buy it and play it.
