I am very sad that after all the harm that our knee jerk support of Israel has caused us, we persist. Why? Oh why do we intend to veto the Palestinian request to be recognized as a state? We insist on "negotiations." But states don't negotiate with committees, they negotiate with states. Remember. Israeli PM Shamir, on leaving office said, I could talk for 10 years and in the meantime we would have half a million more settlers.
