COMCAST:DOES THE OBVIOUS HELP WHEN AN ANALYST SAYS IT?

  • Email down for over 10.5 hours as I write this...

    Help!!!

    How many ways can a help desk person tell you the blatantly obvious?

    I WAS PARTICULARLY TICKLED BY THIS PART OF THE CONVERSATION:

    • Susanne > But I still don't know more, I seem to have told you more than I have learned

  • Susanne > So there is no way to check on availability on the Comcast.net website
  • Vanesa > We are fully aware that this issue is urgent. Our engineers and expediting to resolve the issue in a timely manner.

  • Susanne > You haven't said anything that I didn't get from the page where the re-direct error occurred. Comcast has already gone past 'timely'
  • Susanne > That is the page where the link fails
  • Susanne > Bad Request (Invalid Hostname)
  • Susanne > Someone should get at that page and correct that link
  • Vanesa > I see. How about if you go to www.comcast.com and click on Email tab, please?

  • Susanne > It redirects to that page with the last bad link

  • Susanne > There is a loop of going back to a page that won't load to the intended target
  • Susanne > Same thing, and that is where I started
  • Susanne > I log on there to listen to messages all the time

    Apparently it is a known issue, they don't know anything, and their customers seem to know more about what is going on than they do.  That gives me so much hope for the future of my email account...

Sometime, while I was sleeping Comcast finally got it repaired. Eeeck!
I've been struggling with just trying to get my email address changed on my bill and then getting my bills. I've spent like 4 hours on the phone talking to people about it. I guess they merged with someone and in the process of combining the info there are these endless loops of bad links. It's lame.
