“The spirit gone, man is garbage. That was Snowden's secret."

April 01
I unwittingly stole this dead, imaginary, crewman from Heller's novel, who will undoubtably fly me into a mountain soon enough. So it goes. Unlike Snowden, who spilled his guts while killing others, I am a lover of nature and art, I have been blogging OS since 2009. If Snowden gets me killed before Salon crashes and burns ....shot down by fools far older yet no smarter or wiser than a mosquito, this blog will be my only legacy. It is as raw as recent road kill, just the way the crows like it.

Growing Beyond 'merika: Self- Seeding Co-Evoloution

Rate: 3 Flag

Sure I am stuck at go, and my 200 bucks sits on the table. The word Truth is starting to make me sick. Everyone is claiming to know the truth - even Larry King now, is telling the truth, and his real name. Buy the book.

For those of you who do not believe in Darwin's work, which I am no expert on, I have not much to offer. We are all at some stage of our own trip through the universe in these bodies we have borrowed from nature, so why fight over history? We are animals, and adapt to the environment, which includes other animals, who adapt to the environment.

Sooo- as we alter our environment we are also growing the ability to survive in it, as will all our fellow life forms. Hence by thinking and feeling and then acting in the environment we choose the direction of evoloution, or not.

If you do not believe that humans impact the universe or nature, which I am no expert on, I have not much to offer. The fact (avoiding the word truth) is that humans now impact the universe and nature more than they ever have.

Human thoughts can now become ideas, and then actions that can be felt around the world in seconds.  What is a good Thought? Idea? Action?

I got a D in a global communications class because I arged that telephones might no be a good thing for a rural community to have - and that judging the success of a peple by how many phones they have is simply wrong.

Unless we think about our thinking, others will continue to dominate that space - we can grow beyond 'merika by occupying the contested space between our ears. The human role in evoloution has grown, for better or worse. Think about it.

No one can doubt that the Amish are successful and they don't have phones so your argument is valid. Contest the D.
Humans may impact the world. Humans do NOT impact the universe. You cannot even imagine how large and varied the universe is.

Even to say that an average person can "impact the world" is about as silly as a flea climbing an elephant's leg with the intent of rape. As to the whole of mankind "impacting the universe".......pffffffffffffffftt!
you silly cat! this world is part of the universe. every time you breath you impact the universe - even cats that breathe and don't think much at all impact the universe! but that does not mean we dont love them...any cat that takes the time to flip me the bird is much loved!
Yeah. Anything and everything "impacts" the universe. But when that "impact" is soooooo negligible that it cannot, in universal terms, be noticed then any "impact" claimed is more ego than reality.

It seems that Larry King is not the only one egotistically claiming to "know the truth", eh, Snowie? Even cats got more sense than that....

Do cats have egos? Are you the siily decider cat now as well? Do you decide what is or is not "negligible" ?

If you had red the dang post before slamming it, you might not of had to slam it twice, you silly cat!
Geologists say that we're living in a new geological era where the planet is being influenced not by meteor bombardments, but by ourselves. How long before the blue ball is a garbage heap?
Me and the silly cat disagree, but yes ONL , we are the big changer now. Bad ideas hurt more than ever before.
All I know for sure is that we are living in an era of the fastest changes that humans ever lived before. Such speed, I doubt, can be good.

Ah yes. A typical straw man argument. Accuse me of trying to be "the decider" when I object to YOU attempting to be the decider.

Well sir, if it comes down to a choice between me or you, why then yes, I'd much prefer to be the decider - for me anyway. You can do anything you like for yourself, no matter how nonsensical.

And not having "red" you post wouldn't have allowed me to "slam" it as you called it. You just can't help putting your foot in your mouth can you?

It seems that you also like to "believe three impossible things before breakfast" too! Say "Hi" to Alice for me.......

As to "impacting the universe with every breath", tell me what impact any breath of yours has ever had on the universe. Or even all the breaths of all the people who've ever lived on this grain of sand? Heck, just tell me what impact we've ever had on our own sun, a small one out of trillions of trillions of suns, let alone the whole universe!!

One the count of three,...... Change feet!!!
