Like that pic,
Reminds me of a long time ago...
I'm going to vote...no doubt...
Lay a wreath on the tomb of the apathetic voter buried in the shroud of our rapidly diminishing freedoms. Then, I'll sing a song of mourning for the day when we no longer have the right to vote before going to the polls.
Loved this sheila...:)
Rated with hugs
Einstein is reputed to have said, "Doing the same thing over and over - expecting different results each time, is the very definition of insanity".

Has anybody EVER noticed the government doing anything 'smarter' because more people voted?

You've been had. You will be had again in the future. And you're being had right now. Every time you think that things will change much with a change of which bunch of crooks are running things, you get had.

Yeah, yeah, I know. You're perfectly well aware that voting doesn't change anything; but the alternative is to change the system and that would take a bit of work - besides "Lost", or some such inanity, is on and you only can find time to go push a button.

Not to worry. Soon you'll have time enough for anything. This happens a lot when you don't have a job anymore. You'll see.
o'stephanie: It was from the Obama election, I just added the words today. One of my boys.

rjheart: NO TEA PARTY!! HERE, HERE!!!

Romantic: See ya!

Patrick: No Doubt, drag anyone you can with.

Frog Town: Train up the young ones to care and to participate!

Linda: Thought you would love it! Kind of reminds me of an enforcer....ahahahah
Sky: Don't agree with you. I chose to participate, as long as I can. I am a street fighter and will met you with the Molotov's in Warsaw like stance before I sit back or sit it out.

"Elections belong to the people.
It is their decision.
If they decide to turn their back
on the fire and burn their behinds,
then they will just have to sit on their blisters."
~Abraham Lincoln
@Sheila,
Agree or disagree, nothing changes.

Quoting a politician about elections is like asking Beck to describe science.
Great pic, takes me back. This midterm even my lovable but lazyass husband is planning to vote. It's that scary important.
Already did my constitutional duty, early voting is done on paper ballots thus there is a record.
Sally: Thanks, go back and check my last post on my son's photography! I think you will love it.
I think importance is our good and positive reaction! Importance is how we react, how we deal with, and how we find a solution instead of focusing on the problem! Fall Seven Times, Get Up Eight:-) Kazu Furuta (my fb friend!)
If you value you your freedom, vote, as I have, for the most conservative candidate on your ballot. Don't worry about experience or leadership ability--we've done without that for the last two years--just vote for a voting machine that can halt Obama's efforts to drag us to a socialist future.
Mr Osmond, freedom means doing what you want to do when its the correct thing to do, not what they want you to do because they decided what was right. Our country was actually founded by progressives who believed in real freedom and enlightenment not the squalid totalitarian religious beliefs of the dark ages.
don't vote! stay home in your millions! or you will get more of the same.
VOTE!!

Early and if possible, often!
Salutes
I will if Mary Lin will go to dinner w me (and pay). r.
Forest Whitaker: “In 2008 you showed that you have the power to change the world, and the power is still in your hands—but you have to take it. Speak up now. You have a vote.”
Done deal! Mailed it the day I received it! California needs all the votes it can get; new leadership, however, the lesser of the two evils, sadly and some change that can save the state from further demise. Lord help us out west...or some universal knowingness that has some infinitesimal idea of how to fix it!
Rake leaves?

(I voted last week)

"Vote Vote Vote - For what's best for women, for economic equality, for social justice, for the long term health of our country. Change takes time, struggle, patience. People - - This is not 1950, we cannot roll back the clock".
Carlynne McDonnell
Excerpt from my speech""... I am going to vote for my children . I am going to vote for my country. I am going to vote for peace on Earth! And I am going to pray to all the Gods of every denomination that we all come to realize that we are ALL ONE! Not red and blue, black or white...We are all ONE...And only TOGETHER can we usher in a change that will unite all Americans in brotherhood from sea to shining sea!...Christie Brinkley
" Do yourself a favor on Tuesday and vote for candidates who will support the causes and issues that you believe in...Let's NOT go back into the ditch...There are candidates out there today who want to take our country back to the days before Soc. Sec. and Medicare, who want to ship more jobs overseas...Say NO to them for all of us hard working Americans who do love our country". Bill Sarto
I have a congressional district that the conservatives are trying to buy with millions and millions of dollars of money no one knows where it came from . I'm voting this Mid-Election, something I don't usually do! This really pisses me off!
I already did!! I'm from Chicago...am I supposed to vote again? :)
