Pour one fat ale
into one large chilled glass.
Grate fresh coconut chunks
while four succulent pears roast.
Mince walnuts, marinate
a medley of garden peas,
crumble aged blue cheese.
Walk to the greenhouse
while the white cake bakes.
Work awhile.
Collect and wash
broadleaf spinach from
below the strawberry field.
Shred fine.
Cool the cake.
Pour a second fat ale
into a second frosty mug.
Slice and squeeze
two lemons.
Reduce balsamic vinegar.
Chop thyme,
artichokes, heirloom tommys,
and sweet Vidalia onions.
Press garlic,
turn the pepper grind.
Mix freshly ground cormeal,
dust and blacken the
premium fillet of cats.
Frost the cake,
strike the grill,
sear the fish
in the iron pan.
Drizzle the pears
and plate,
spoon a dollop
of red tomato-choke
chutney.
Spin the fiddle,
pull the farmer's chair.
Light the candles.
toast, sing,
and serve
the evening repast.
