It's my OS Anniversary March 15. Here is some of what the year has been about:
1. Addiction.
I love to read, and finding so many quality writers in one location is addicting. I come back again and again.
2. Membership
On March 15th, I blogged, "A Creek's Run." I've had to pull the post, but I'll talk about that next. Since then, I have blogged and read weekly.
3. Freedom
I write as Scupper. I like this simple freedom. In this year, I've shared my site and my reasons for writing anonymously with three close and local friends. One friend enjoyed a recent post and shared it with others where I live. I've got to reconsider my freedom here now, so I'm mulling it over and putting the outcome into perspective. The plus side is it will open up new avenues. The down side is no more dirty haiku, and I'll have to watch my potty mouth.
4. Friendships
I've seen some posts about the purpose of OS. I had no idea that I would enjoy interacting with some of the writers. Some have now become "friends." One friendship has become one of my finest exchanges and has taught me much about the beauty of communication.
5. Range
This OS year has been filled with humor, wit, sarcasm, pain, drama, death, flouncing, love, and so much more. Sometimes I follow something through its course, sometimes I dismiss it as OS spotlight.
6. Editor's Pick
Not yet. I'm a poet, mostly.
7. More to Come
I've seen writers come and go. I've taken breaks. OS is part of my day now. I'm in for another year. Besides, I've got to keep reading about Astrid.

Hi Patty Jane, thanks!
And thank you. There'll be plenty more to read about Astrid and the rest of the dysfunctional crew. I promise.
thank you and happy anniversary!
Mustard, Mean Mustard, Chuck, you are one of the finest. I should have told you how often you've brought me joy. I am telling you now.
Aim- such depth in your work. Thanks for the comment.
Julie, I'm lucky to read you. Thanks for reading.
Mrs. Michaels, Good one. Yes. Sometimes a madhouse. I enjoy your blog.
BV: My decision to write in pseudo was mostly a career precaution. I'm glad I've read your blog. Good writing there!

Fernsy in court - I'm glad to get to know you.
Thank you.
You get an SP for your poetry even if the EP's are hard to come by.
It sounds like it's been a great year for you!
Here's to fifty more great years for all of us on OS....I know this has been a lifesaver for me.

It could have been anyone.
But it was you, and that made all the difference.
PS-Loved that picture. I used to have a similar set of candle sticks-very cool.
