Glenn Beck's Website Criticizes Flag Gaffe, Ignores His Own
Glenn Beck's website, "The Blaze," featured an article titled "Can You Pick Out the Flag Gaffe on Obama's New 'Julia Site?' We Did."

The article points out that the proper way to display the American Flag when it flanks a podium is for it to be on the speaker's right-hand side. Fair enough.
However, to be "fair and balanced," Beck's site should have run an accompanying piece titled, "Can You Pick Out The Flag Crime That Glenn Beck Committed? Roger Fallihee Did."
Displaying the flag on the proper side of a podium is a matter of etiquette, not law. But what Beck did to the flag could be construed as a criminal act. U.S. Flag Code:
"Whoever knowingly mutilates, defaces, physically defiles, burns, maintains on the floor or ground, or tramples upon any flag of the United States shall be fined under this title or imprisoned for not more than one year, or both."
You could argue that Beck was defacing a rendition of the flag rather than an actual flag, but you can't argue the hypocrisy of the man.
By the way, for those of you who have no idea who Glenn Beck is, he's a formerly influential voice on the right, who was fired by Fox News, and has become increasingly irrelevant, unimportant, and ignored.
