What if this world, this life, is nothing more than a shell game? The rich get richer, the poor get poorer, and deeper still, they are systematically killed off.
What if it is as easy as making a few speeches to get one group of human beings to destroy another group? What if any one of us could be on either side of that equation faster than we think?
What if all the toil, the worry, the struggle to survive is for naught? What if joy is a fleeting illusion? What if behind it all, there is really nothing? A hall of mirrors we are simply seeing our own reflections in?
What if it's all as horrible as you think it is? What if you are, right now, that soldier on the field? The one killing? The one dying? The child starving? The mother weeping? The man with no legs? The widow? The orphan?
We are the change. We are the compassion. We are the ones we've been waiting for.
-Robin Sneed, from the Got Compassion? Project
(No, I haven't built a website yet! This is pure grassroots...largely in the oral tradition and a small paper...excepting this blog post...)
