Trainspotting 101

Rate: 9 Flag

Fuzzy Math, by Aaron Feit

The light of candles,

Wasted wax.

Micro-managing bosses,

Missed subway trains.

Wine, desecrated - neglected

Marinade instead of prelude to a kiss.

Salon appointments that run long.

A man, a woman...shaking the night apart.

Between "Lost" text message episodes.

A greater love than ever there was.

A love that never was.

rejoicing in flight, but terrified too...

exposing one's self to the bittersweet light of many days

I cannot write like you do, but I really like what you write.

Hope u are well.
Highly rated.
Aaron,

Very nice, indeed. You have created and intriguing, poetic mix of imagery leading to varying impressions, which for me, culminated with the final poetic image that I perceive as the overarching impression to which all the others before it contribute: "the bittersweet light of many days".

I like this. Evocative is the right ord.
that should be: Evocative is the right word.
What can I say but, Thanks a million guys. I was inspired by everyone else's take on common experiences that have been distilled down to their essence/s. Yet I looked through the first page of posts a la 101 and didn't see anything on love. Your reponse to an ill-conceived (?) distillation of love's triumphs and tribulatons - the cause for our trepidation when faced [down] by it - has made me elated - once again.

I really have never published/posted any poetry of mine before, and I am glad you all dug it to some degree. I often feel that most won't get...me.

Peace,

-aj
