BUT LET'S GET STARTED:  

There are many promises in life.  There’s the promise of “life liberty and the pursuit of happiness”.  There is the promise “to have and to hold”.  There is the promise of “Til death do us part”. There’s the Broadway Play “Promises, Promises”.  And then there’s William Shakespeare’s lament about promises:

“Why didst thou promise such a beauteous day,

And make me travel forth without my cloak,

To let base clouds o’ertake me in my way,

Hiding thy bravery in their rotten smoke? 

My goodness, “The Bard” must have known Barack Hussein Obama in a previous life!  He must have known such a man so full of promises never kept, and attendant smoke and mirrors and empty rhetoric, that comes along with the promises he never keeps.

FLASH: Before I get started on the list of promises not kept by "The Great Prevaricator", I want to mention that by now you have seen that the Chevy Volt production has been suspended.  Most of us knew this was a pipedream of Obama's just like Spain was his poster child for "the green revolution" in 2008 (they are broke today and with 20% unemployment), and Solyndra and a bunch other loser "green companies", mostly campaign contributors to Obama, have or will be going broke.  The Volt was never meant to be actually produced as it was just a show car until Obama gave General Motors $55 billion to stay in business, and then another $14 billion to develop the Volt.

The voters of the United States inexplicably gave Obama the key to the Treasury, and without a Congress protecting the Taxpayers, the sky is the limit.  Talk about your 1.00%, the average income of a Volt buyer is $172,000, and Chevy would have shut them down long ago if Obama hadn't forced the government to buy Volts and twisted General Electric's arm to buy a bunch.  Most real Americans with a brain are going to buy a car that will get them to Grandma's house on Thanksgiving and the Volt clearly would not. 

So just in case you took seriously the promise Barack Hussein Obama made about Algae (Pond Scum”) becoming seventeen percent of our energy needs, let’s review some of his previous promises NOT KEPT. 

• ·        In 2006 he railed against increasing the debt ceiling for the United States as being un-American, poor management, and even corrupt when George Bush requested it and he voted against it. This amounted to a promise that he would never do such a thing!
• ·        In 2007 he railed against the surge in Iraq and voted against it in the Senate then took credit for it when it worked
• ·        In 2008 he said that his administration would be totally transparent to all
• ·        In 2008 he promised comprehensive immigration reform within 1 year
• ·        In 2008 he said that if we liked our healthcare as is we could keep it
• ·        In 2008 he said the healthcare reform bill would be negotiated on C-SPAN
• ·        In 2008 he promised that no lobbyist would be part of his administration
• ·        In 2008 he promised to cut the deficit and the debt accumulation immediately
• ·        In 2008 he promised he would go over the federal budget “line by line” to weed out waste and corruption (laughable)
• ·        In 2008 he said he would bring peace to the middle east
• ·        In 2008 he promised to end the war in Iraq and remove all troops immediately
• ·        In 2009 he again promised unprecedented levels of transparency and openness
• ·        In 2009 he said that if we gave him close to a trillion dollars that unemployment would remain under eight percent
• ·        In 2009 he said the Afghan War was the good war and increased the troop level there from 15,000 to close to 100,000

 And guess what, he made over fifty-five promises to his Liberal Marxist friends that he has not kept as well.  God help us if he were able to keep those promises, as they all would have thrust us quickly, deeper and deeper into Communism in every respect.

Hey but wait, his anti George Bush, anti Cowboy diplomacy has really worked…….NOT!

·        Worse relations with Russia - The Russians mock us and balk at us in the U.N. and everywhere else they can. 

·        Utter arrogance by North Korea (nothing changed by the events of last week in reality)

·        Iran nearing the completion of nuclear armament

·        No Israeli – Palestinian settlement

·        China acquiring first aircraft carriers and massive arms building

·        Belligerent Venezuela

·        He has insulted our two best friends in the world — Britain and Israel — by his contempt for them.  

It gets worse! 

1.     He canned the anti-missile system, which would have protected Europe and the United States from nuclear missiles leaving us naked to missile attacks. 

2.      The Middle East is more dangerous than ever. Dethroning Hosni Mubarak in Egypt gives them an anti-Israel, anti-U.S. government that is already working with terrorists in Gaza. 

3.     Iraq is a disaster! There are still more than 50,000 U.S. troops there and they are being shelled, rocketed, mortared, and attacked by IEDs every day.

4.     George Bush rescued Wall Street before he left office.  Obama followed up with the famous $1 trillion “stimulus package” and the only real results to show for it are a bunch of fictitious "jobs saved", a statistic never before heard of in economics.  

5.      Gasoline prices are now exceeding $5.00 per gallon in many areas

6.      He has given us a new healthcare plan that confuses even the leaders of his own party.

7.      He has given us a basketball court in the White House. 

8.      He has shown his contempt for law by zeroing out Chrysler bondholders without legal authority and firing the head of GM without legal authority.

9.      To placate the Unions, he killed one of the only working solutions to our education problem, the voucher system in the Washington, D.C. schools, that actually gave a small number of inner city students a chance at a good education. 

And if that isn't enough, he is now engendering a campaign of saving woman's health by making contraceptives a health issue.  Suddenly woman being able to have sex anytime they want using taxpayer money for contraception has become a right under the Constitution.  Well let's face it, he has really nothing to run on for reelection, and he rewrites the Constitution every day anyway.  

I get all out of breath just adding all this stuff up but I found this quote on the internet unattributed to anyone that perfectly describes the American situation Under Barack Hussein Obama at the moment:

“This is how great nations fold up. They get small men and women in big jobs.”

WE HAVE A SMALL MAN IN A BIG JOB, ONE HE WAS NEVER PROPERLY VETTED FOR, QUALIFIED FOR, OR ABLE TO HANDLE THE BIGGEST JOB IN THE WORLD – THE PROOF IS IN THE PUDDIN!
