I'd LOVE to be able to post a bright new shiny online page here but, hey, ah cain't. Not right now, any way? "I mean"..............
O.K., so this is a bit of ?"a thing"? of mine, o.k.? But then, at least I had the chance to start a blog here hoping I could maybe both ?"lighten up"? and ?!"clarify"!? this death-and-life; old-and-young ... well, "thing" (?!) "you know"?
I've been exchanging some OS posts and some offline PMs with several of you. I confess that to my -- sixteen months short of the Big 80 "carbon dating" ?age? -- the whole way of trying to navigate OS (me, the once-upon-a-time and longtime "bibliophile" ...... by which I mean -- remember? Those long laborious works onto dead tree "papers" and bound in cow leather?) would leave me scratching my head more than I wish to choose to right now given that at my age -- whether you've had chemotherapy or not -- your hair doth grow thinner and thinner and ... um ... thinner.
All you "youngsters" (?"forgive"? me if the term irritates you but hey I was once young too so it's hard for me to find my current ?"persona"? -- anywhere at all; much less ?"here"? in ?!cyberspace!?).......
What was I saying? :-)
Hey, I forgot! [A cheerful throw-away line from/of us more or less octogenarians who keep waking up every morning to read, more and more, the obituary pages of the daily newspaper, so we joke among us about who is or isn't going to ?"get"? ... whatever? Alzheimers (in that context); cancer ("popular" in my personal and professional history) and, as -- who was it used to say? -- "like thet there".
As I type into this foolish (or fiendishly wise?!) computer keyboard, it's already pushing ten o'clock in the morning.
You people here at OS are -- may I, please be allowed this oldfashioned word? -- "invaluable" to me. You make me laugh, you keep me going.
Maybe I'll even post a second blog .......... but I don't know yet!
