Ron Paul is a demagogue

Rate: 0 Flag

Ron Paul is nothing but a demagogue pretending to be a revolutionary politician. He is a reformist who wants to reform our system to make it better for the capitalist of this country, not the regular people like you and me. He thinks less government is better. He thinks once the Capitalists are completely free of regulations they would bring progress to the country. He doesn't understand the government is there to protect the capitalists as well for if left alone, capitalists will cannibalized each other.

Ron Paul's philosophy is a bad recipes for our country.  He thinks less regulations on how business operate is good for the country.  As you know, the purpose of doing business is producing profits.  The more businesses reduce cost the more profits they can get selling their products.  If companies are not regulated they would destroy the planet sooner than later, and their workers would work  in a no  safed environment.  That is because providing safety gears to workers, for example,  and running extra steps to protect the environment increase the cost of producing goods.  If restaurants were not afraid of sanitation inspectors their kitchen would be always dirty and public's health would be at risk.  That is because having a clean kitchen cost more, and business have the natural tendencies to avoid cost in order to increase profits.  The idea of having one social class, the rich and their corporations, controlling the rest of us with absolute power is absurd, unfair, and destructive.  I think is better to have a strong government ran by the people, and  with lots of regulations to protect all of us and the environment.  What we have now is big weak government ran by big strong  corporations.

If capitalists are left alone they would end capitalism and society as we know it. Just look how British Petroleum behaved as it was left alone to extract oil from the Golf of Mexico as they please. Look how bad Banks behaved with the housing industry as they were left alone with practically no regulations: they sure brought the whole economy down, and millions of families lost their homes. From the time of FDR there were regulations that prohibit banks to play with home mortgages in the stuck market.

The government is part of our society. It works for us. Of course, there is always room for improvements, but Ron Paul and the so called “libertarians” think the government is some sort of British empire imposing tyranny on all of us. They think the government is our worse enemy, just like Alqaeda or the Taliban.

Mr. Paul, If the government were truly ran by the people it would work extraordinary nicer. The problem with the government now is that it is owned and ran by corporations, not the people!

They also preach the wonders of something call “free market” ignoring that free market is an abstraction, it's a concept; it's something that does not exist. Ask Ron Paul to show you a country with “free market” economy. There is no free market and it will never be free market as long as capitalism is the economy system. Ron Paul is not advocating elimination of capitalism. If that's the case he would have to come up with its alternative. Capitalism or any other economic system is replace by war only. The forces that sustain it will fight to death to keep it alive. Ron Paul is not that revolutionary leader. He just wants to reform the actual system to benefits of the capitalist class of this society.

He has all his faith on the upper class, not the workers, or the poor farmers. He never mention the words Workers and Poor Farmers in any of his speech. He never refers to the poor as social class. He never mention a social class at all. Some politicians only mention the Middle class, but Ron Paul only mention the “individuals”, a lot. He says for example: “as a believer of individual freedom and individual rights I think you have the right to keep what you have…” That's where his demagogy strikes because individuals are not going to accomplish anything in this society. Disperse people will never be counted on social struggle. People need to get together and make consciences of themselves as a social class. Individuals count in election day. That's what he wants from us: the individual vote on election day, nothing more. Real leader organize people as social class, they talk to the class. Demagogues talk to “individuals”

More over, Ron Paul tells you “ As a believer of individual rights, I think you have the right to your life and the right to work hard and keep what you have....” That's the extreme of the demagogy. If you have $10 dollars and I have $10 million dollars, and Ron Paul is advocating we keep what we have who is he defending? He is defending the rich, my friend.

People like Ron Paul and the so called “libertarians” are under the impression that there was a moment in the history of this country where every one started at the same economic level, and then later those who worked harder became rich and those who made bad decision, or did not work hard enough remain poor. That's a clear indication that Ron Paul and his followers don't know the cause of poverty and accumulation of wealth in this country. If Ron Paul ignore history, at least he should have a little bit of compassion towards those in need instead of being on the side of those who have it all. I am not calling for a revolution because I don't have a solution for our problems neither. I 'm only saying be  aware of what's going on, and defend your social class.  Stop defending the class you think on day you will be in. That's a stupid dream.  The reality is that, in spite people working hard every day, the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. There are executives making $140 million dollars bonus, plus salaries and others income while millions of families survive on minimum wage or just $30 thousand dollars a year. There are rich land owners who own over 500 thousand acres of land in this country while so many people are homeless in this country.

Ron Paul thinks that people demanding better social services like education for their children, better transportation, a health care system, housing, etc is stealing from the rich. He actually said that the government providing “these stuff to people is violating some else's right “ He doesn't understand that the government is part of this society, it work for all of us. Society provides social services for all of us who need it. That's the advantage of not living in caves. Civilize countries have social services. Civilize countries have governments!

The so called “Revolution” Ron Paul is preaching about is a fraud. A real revolution implies a call for a fundamental change in the economic system. The economic system we have now, Capitalism, would be replace in a revolution only. There has never been a replacement of any economic system with out a war. Do you think Ron Paul is calling for the end of capitalism? No, he is calling for the end of the government's “tyranny”(regulations) Che Guevara, Mao Tse Tung, Lenin, George Washington, Samuel Adams, Boyer, Simon Bolivar, and people like that fought for a fundamental change in the economic system of their countries, and they were willing to killed and be killed for their cause. Weather you agree or not with any revolutionary leader from the past is a matter of a genuine argument, but you can not argue that they were not trying to fundamentally change their countries. Ron Paul is none of that. Ron Paul wants to fix this system to benefit the upper class. His strategy for gaining political power is appealing to the public 's prejudices, emotions, fears and expectations. He uses rhetoric propaganda with theme of nationalism, patriotism, and religious context(Wikipedia's definition of Demagogue) He is a physician, but he credit Adam and Eve against Evolution! Ron Paul is a demagogue.

Libertarianism allows racism because it does not fight it.  Libertarians want to leave racism to the be fix by the rule of "free market". That could take 100 years, mean while black children and other minorities are kept further behind in their education.  Libertarians don't understand that the government is part of us, not a foreing military occupation. The problems we have in society now are not the result of having a government, but the resultl of having a government ran by big corporations,  not the people.

His son Rand Paul disagree with the government enforcing Civil Rights laws.  He thinks the “free market” would fix racism as well. I can imagine that if a black mother needs to use a bathroom in a city she would have to hold it until the “free market” have one bathroom available for her. Rand Paul claims he is not racist, but he only say that for “libertarian” reasons. I say: if you disagree with the government enforcing a law is because you are against that law.

More over, If you see a crime and you don't call the authorities you are a criminal too. Rand Paul is a passive racist, which might be as bad as committing a racist act, because he wants to ignore the importance of Civil Right law in opposition to private business right.  He ignores the difference between a private house and private business. He also ignores the function of the government as a law enforcement. There is no room for passive racist in the congress. In my view, Rand Paul is a racist.

Here we go again! Another terrified Lefty Loon spouting off about how Ron Paul does not understand how things are supposed to be. Obviously dependent on the government, the writer of this socialist rambling is lashing out in fear, knowing that the end draws near for his or her kind. The unidentified writer is as much a victim of Ron Paul's Revolution as he or she is a victim of the failed public school system; a reference to all of the grammatical errors in the writers painfully ignorant commentary. As Ron Paul always says, "All great empires eventually come to an end", which is what we are experiencing today in our nation, and what the writer fails to recognize. We can not continue to ignore the cause for the problems we are facing, and think that we can fix them by taxing people and printing more money out of thin air. The writer really needs to take a basic economics class, and crawl out from under his or her rock. People have to begin to take responsibility for their own actions, and understand that Ron Paul is the last hope we have to restore our nation to something that would make the Founders proud. Ron Paul in 2012!!
Thank you very much for commenting on my article, Bob.
Please forgive my English. It is not my first language. I did not go to school in the US as you did. Please point out my grammatical errors so I can fix it, and learn.
I criticize the government as you do too. The difference is that you and Ron Paul are calling for limiting the government so the corporations freely do what ever they want. I am calling for expansion of the government with less influence from big corporations, and more participation of the people. You think with small government the law of supply and demand would fix every thing. You think the problems we have in society are the result of having a government. I think the problems we have are the result of having a government controlled by the rich and their big corporations, and little participation of the people. I think the problem is not the government. I think the problem is who is running the government. The rich and their corporations are running the government. I want stronger government ran by the people with lots of regulations to protect all of us and the environment. The difference is clear.
I would love to see you expanding your thoughts instead of writing campaign phrases for Ron Paul. And please, don't focus too much in my English, but my ideas.
Please tell us why do you think having the rich and their corporations with absolute control of the rest of us is better for society.
