I heard a ruckus in the neighbor's back yard, so of course I had to investigate. Right? I grabbed my flashlight and headed on over and met...
So I invited them over for a snack.
One of the girls wasn't too hungry, so she hopped up onto the steps to check things out.
They were quite pleased with the repast.
The Puffmeister, though, was not thrilled with the interlopers.
Suddenly, a noise, a caterwaul, if you will, and they scattered to defend their group.
Eventually, they regrouped and came back to check the kibble situation. Alas, it was gone. One more rub for good luck, and a warning to stay away from the dogs, and I sent them on their way. A few stayed around to make sure my door was off limits the rival cat packs, and to make sure I was definitely not going to let them in, and they left, too.
(Honestly, all 6 of those girls would have come in if I had held the door open. Talk about an excess of riches. I also made sure to wash well, so I wouldn't inadvertantly expose the Puff to anything.)
