Back to normal. Normal feels good. A good insight, I think.
I overheard a teen talking to a much older man in Panera Bread. The kid said to him, "To be 100% honest with you... " I thought to myself, now that's a good goal to shoot for: 100% honest, no shading or equivocation. And i admire that kid for having the courage to open up to that man--in a mentor role, obviously--in that manner.
More good insights from Coach K in his great book. In the last chapter I read, he talked about crisis management. He made the great point that preparation for crisis--any situation that mahy arise, actually, is more crucial than applying techniques once you are in a crisis. He says that once you are in a crisis, it is too late, if you are not prepared.
I have a new Dunkin' Donut: Panera Bread. The place I go for journaling and blogging and creative writing first thing in the morning. Everyone needs a place where they can go away from the house where they can chill and create.
I love the beginning of the month: a chance to start over, in my way of thinking.
