Owl_Says_Who
Bio
I'm sure details will emerge as I write, but how does one encapsulate one's life in words? I consider myself a Michigan native, now misplaced in the southern MidWest. Friends and family have called me a story teller, which is possible. To anyone who reads my work, though, I offer this caution from Isabel Allende, as she describes herself: “If you ask me to tell you my life, I will try; but it will probably be a bag of lies, because I am inventing myself all the time. And at the same time, I am inventing fiction, and through this fiction, I am revealing myself.”

I know I've missed some . . . but I could be color-blind . . .
Damn, you're good.
Rated.
You couldn't just go with "rainbow," could you? ;-)

Kitten paw pads! Awww....

I love this Owl--very unique, like you.

Happy Whatsmas!
xoxoxo,
Paddington's coat, spring willow leaves were my favorite. This was fun the images popped like a slide show. The video was priceless. 2010 will be a great one, I can feel it.
The spectrum has never been so vivid. Merry Christmas my fellow traveler. ~R~
What Thoth said! Can we get a hell yea!!!
Now that was a feast for the mind! What a clever Owl you are!
Your original rainbow. Wonderful, Owl.
Oh, Owl! I love it. I could see each color and anticipate the next! You covered the spectrum. Brilliant.
Love it! Paddington's coat - after all these years, the color came to mind right away.
I love the way you travel the color spectrum--as I read I felt my brain being colored in by these images--beautiful!
Virtuosity, thy name is Owl!
Vivd and original. R
Thoth - I just hope Santa thinks so . . . oh wait a minute . . . crap. Sucks being an adult!

spotted - "Rainbow" woulda been cheating . . .

WalkAwayHappy - Aww, thanks... back atcha'!

Harry - I dunno, but at least I got to play.

Dr. Spud - Man, it's so good to see you again! Ain't that gemineye awesome?

Chuck - I was surprised at how hard it was to squeeze the images out, but it ended up fun.
Preddy colors!!!!

*wanders off but not before rating*

::::::OWL:::::::

I got shivers all the way through the video. Oh thank you for introducing me to Gemini; it rocked my soul.

Paddington's Coat? Yes....

I'm feeling ya! Plenty of substance here Owl, just plenty...
This is Great!! I loved the poem ..
The video was cool..
Happy Holidays to you and yours..
Really nice. Thank you. Can you rap it like Gemineye? He rocks.
Owl, this is WONDERFUL!!!! We should talk soon. :-)
You are master. "Stiff new jeans" and "Dialated Pupils" my faves. Rated
You sure breathed some life into old ROY G BIV!
You missed nothing, Owl. xo.
Dang girl, you do have a way with words don't you. I think you have done the whole color thing in a most unique way. Merry Christmas my friend.
Very clever. I must confess, I didn't know what ROY G BIV was until I consulted Wikipedia (two seconds ago). Thanks for expanding my horizons -- and imagination.
Lovely, Owl =o) Would that be raw or cooked salmon?

Like Spotted Mind, you had me with the kitten paw pads!

I think you covered it all, Owl! Enjoyed going down the list as the images swept by.
Coloriffic!

Especially the grape soda!
Some great new names for crayon colors! Especially liking "fruit cocktail grapes", definitely a colo(u)r that's been overlooked by the Gap!
Hmm, very creative, very nice. I wonder what you would do with a rainbow of smells? I bet they would be just as unique. I like this exercise. Cool, Owl.
That was a nicely (w)rapped holiday present. Wishing you and yours a peaceful holiday season.
Originality - that's what I'm talkin' about.

Respect, my friend. Respect and admiration for you.

Happy Holidays
Outstanding. Should you decide to come over for a holiday dinner this weekend, I'll leave the whole spectrum of light on for you!
Loverly. Gemineye is quite a gift.
So clever and vivid. I'll have to ride that rainbow again!
Thanks for sharing your wonderful your words and poetic slam too and lapus lazuli is my absolute fave colour of blue

Yes, we need more poets!
thank you for this present!

Awww, you don't have to pick just one! I like all that you chose and I bet I would like others that you might choose just as well. Happy Whatsmas, my kind Owl. Happy whoooooo....
you are so creative! really excellent piece
I might print this and take it to Christmas Eve with my nieces and nephew and have them draw your colors...this is simple, clear and absolutely brilliont. Thanks, Owl!
Really cute, Owl ... and clever! For a minute, I thought I was reading the new Crayon box. Then I thought about it, and decided you should be naming the next Crayon box! I'll tell ya ... when you post, you post magic! ((((R)))
Beautiful Owler!
Have a wonderful Christmas and blessed New Year!
Uniquely colorful, Owl~!
never seen anything like this before Owl... you are wonderful.... wish you starry-starry soft warm candle lit quiet peaceful dinners at home with family and friends this Christmas and a hug of course.
From someone who doesn't like rap, this guy was the great! As was your poem. I'm trying to figure out what color a faded girl scout sash is!
R~
Lunchlady - Hell yeah! Thanks for coming by!

Sharon - :~) I'd been kicking around the idea, but when I saw you go for it with the Rainbow of Love, I knew I had to finish the idea. So thank you, divine muse!

Lea - Shucks. Thanks ma'am.

CK - So glad it worked! I can never tell with anything I've written until days or weeks have passed. Happy Whatsmas, Lady!

Blue in TX - Isn't it funny, how our memories work?
And you forgot the most important color of all - striped owl feathers.

Thanks Owl. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
AtHomePilgrim - Someday, perhaps . . . for today? It's all good.

rita - Vivid? Original? LOL! Happy, Merry, Safe Christkwanzukah Solstivalia.

(((Betty)))- I love it when writing is compared to food. Merry Whatsmas to you, as well.

Tink! Love ya' man, furry face and all.

jane - Thanks, good Lady. I consider that a high compliment.

FusunA - LOL - thanks for reading!

sweetfeet - Just like the weather . . . you know . . .

Sparking - I've heard other stuff by Gemineye, and it's all very good . . . but this piece makes me shiver all the way through, every single time I listen to it.

fireeyes - Happy Holidays to you and yours as well. Thanks, my friend.

trig & espritgui - Yeah, well . . . one of these days, I want to try to write something that I can perform in the spirit of Gemineye. Sometimes I hear that rhythm in my head.

VR - I would love that. Happy, Merry, Safe Christkwanzukah Solstivalia!

Trudge - Someday, perhaps I will master. For now, I love that some images stick well.

Maria - :~) Good to know I'm not the only one who invoked his name for the spectrum!

Frank - Perhaps . . . but the world, and life, is so big and colorful . . . seems inevitable to miss some things.
How gorgeous is this? So rated, my interesting friend.
Torman - LOL. Merry Christmas to you and yours, Torman.

Steve - Maybe it was a Michigan thing . . . but I gotta give you props for looking it up!

Shiral - My confession on that is, I don't know - I don't really eat fish! So my answer is, whichever seems to be the right colour.

o'stephanie - I gave it my best shot, anyway:~).

ChiGuy - I've got a wierd color story about grape soda, as a matter of fact . . . it's the reason I never drink it anymore.

mamoore - I think I'm glad the Gap missed that one!

Polly - What a fascinating idea . . . sort of a synethasia (I can't spell it, but hopefully you know what I'm talking about.) . . .

grif - Back atcha, man. All best to you and yours.

surly - Is there such a thing?

Duaneart - Dude, you're the king of original. Thanks, man.
Coyote - All aspects of that are appealing!

Cindy - Well, I've heard that accessorizing is important, so . . .

Scarlett - So glad you enjoyed!

wschanz - Your reading is a present to me!

mypsyche - Happy Whatsmas to you and yours, kind Lady!

Ariana - I remember myself as more creative when I was younger, but maybe it's coming back.

aim - I'd be honored. I know this season is tinged with sadness for you, but here's hoping that the warmth of family overcomes.

Rod - Lord, I don't know if the world is ready for Owl's box of crayons. After all, they're mostly for kids!

ladyfarmerjed - Back atcha', my sister.

WSFTC - As long as you keep coming back.

tai - Well, I try.

Rolling - Thanks, Rolling. Warm wishes to you and your family, and likewise, a hug.

scanner - Isn't he the bomb?

Boomer Bob - LOL. Maybe that's where I got my inspiration. Merry Christmas to you, too.

Nikki - Thank you. And thank you for reading . . .
These are a few of my favorite things.....! xox
((((Robin)))) - That's a good way to look at it. Love you, my brother/sister. Wishing you a warm Holiday, and an awesome new year!
255, 139, 9. There ought to be a Pantone called "Caution Light." Loved your poem and the video.
To think I almost missed. All the color to you!
You're on a roll, why stop with visible light?! Go Owl! Go for the entire electromagnetic spectrum. Show us gamma waves and subsonic radio waves! Go Owl! Do it!
I don't know why, but Gemineye brought tears to my eyes.

Thanks Owl. (And I, like Blevins, had to look up Roy).
You can write all that you want to. More please! (This is one of the best challenges in OS history!)
Stacey - There should be a Pantone with that name . . . thanks for coming by!

scupper - LOL - only if I can share.

Jeff - I hadn't even considered the electromagnetic spectrum . . . that would require some serious research, but sounds like a challenge. Maybe next year.

skeltnwmn - Gemineye, in this piece, calls out to us all, I think, to find our voices and shout. That speaks to the spirit of what many of us are reaching for, in all our own ways - which is why I knew I had to post it on OS sometime. Blessings, skel!
zuma - If only I had the time/money equation licked, I think I'd spend all my time writing. As it is, the way I earn a living consumes too much time, and sometimes, I gotta make time to live as well!

TBL4 - LOL. Thanks, Lady. Happy os-mas to you as well.
"fruit coctail grapes" haaaa - those things were the worst plastic looking eye-ball things in my school lunch room tray. great imagery. Does this flow easily for you or does something like this take a couple of days to write? amazing...

Gemini blew my mind. I'll have to show that one to my hubby for sure, maybe he'll use it with his alternative school students - they would dig. happy holidays
Wow! Gemineye brought tears to my eyes. Spoken...yes, spoken.
How on earth did I miss this??? Darn it!
I like daffodil blossom.
When I was a little girl, they were one of my favorite flowers...the other being a purple iris.
Thanks for this. I'm smiling.
Owl, this was marvelous - just like a spectrum, each coloured image flowed into the next, infilled with recognition and memories: the mind's eye of the beholder beholden to the poet. And the video is so powerful, thank you. I've long believed that rap is modern poetry and now you've gifted me with an unassailable argument! Many happy returns, my friend.
Heron - I know, aren't they spooky? As for the question, depends on what I'm doing. This one was a couple of days, adding and removing things. Gemineye is the shiznit, IMHO.

Miss Adams - I totally agree . . . his message hits me the same way.
Outside Myself - With so much colour blowing around,it's easy to miss. And your favorites as a kid? Same as mine. Those were my two favorite flowers.

psychomama - Thanks so much . . . that video totally rocks, too. Happy new year to you and yours!
Southernstoryteller - Welcome to OS! It's been interesting to see how many people recognize ROY G BIV, and this was a fun exercise. Hope to see you around!
Gotta even up the comments . . . can't . . . leave . . . and odd . . . number.
