I am a high school English educator; however on most days I feel like an underpaid babysitter. I do like teaching (when I am able to do so) and would love to get additional degrees; nevertheless, I don't want to spend thousands of dollars on degrees and still be unhappy with a flawed system.

Putting it into perspective.

This weekend I celebrated S.A.D. (Single Awareness Day) and I can honestly say I had an okay time.  I took my daughter to her activities and came home an made chocolate cupcakes and decorated them so nicely.  I dropped my daughter off at a friends house and came home and watched a little television and that was that.

I also had a few moments to reflect on my life and I have come to the realization that I am going to use this time to do what God has purposed me to do.  I know there is a book inside of me, I just need to bring it forth.  I don't know if it's fiction or non-fiction, but as soon as I start writing, I'll post snippets of it for you all.  I have some other tasks that I am going to work on to better my life.

For those of you who don't know, S.A.D. is also known as Valentine's Day (for those of you who are coupled up).
i am quite aware of that. just wanted to say "good for you" for having the time to reflect and think things through.
Thanks, for the support.
Way to go, Olga.....I definitely believe in focusing on that which you have the power to do. The rest will come.......
