Earlier today my youngest, her hearing ear dog and I went to the store. We were at the end of a row of cars, IN the crosswalk where people are required to stop so that people can USE the crosswalk when a twatwaffle with "CHOOSE LIFE" plastered all over his vehicle (A cream colored late model cadillac) missed running over my (deaf) child by mere inches.
He was close enough to running her down so that the store thought she HAD been hit and called an ambulance for a "hit and run" accident. All of which means that tonight I got to go to the store with my CHILD to buy dog food, deal with the police AND an ambulance... and ALL because some twatwaffle claiming to CHOOSE LIFE attempted to MURDER MY CHILD.
Would one of you anti-choice folks PLEASE explain to me PRECISELY why it is that those who oppose abortion HAVE NO RESPECT FOR THE LIVING? Attempted hit and run of a CHILD... REFUSAL to support ANY program which might PREVENT abortions (common sense things like COMPREHENSIVE SEX EDUCATION and [GASP] birth control)... DESTRUCTION of EVERY social program designed to HELP people... but "life is sacred"... sure it is.
So tell me... IF "LIFE" IS SO SACRED PRECISELY WHY IS IT "OK" FOR ONE OF YOUR COMPATRIOTS TO ATTEMPT TO MURDER MY ALREADY BORN CHILD?
IF LIFE IS SO SACRED PRECISELY WHY IS IT YOU INSIST ON STRIPPING 100% OF SOCIAL PROGRAMS OF MONEY?

Questions without answers I fear.
Like anything connected to religion - ask someone why they believe what they do and they can't really tell you. They've never actually thought about it. Much easier to listen to what their 'authority figure' tells them and take it at face value. Life is precious - as long as they don't think it's coming out of their own personal pocket, and certainly not requiring of their time or effort.

Once the child is actually present however, then it's not so easy - might cost them dollars in taxes or community support, or Gods forbid they might actually be asked to adopt or foster one of them.. in which case you'd think they'd be in favor of pro-choice.
Doesn't make a lick of sense. But the pro-life argument never has.
From the start, when 'life is precious' didn't cover the result of rape or incest - and created the quandary of saving the mother, or the fetus. Not to mention capital punishment. How do they draw the lines? They can't seem to answer that question.
And now of course we have those who tell us that life is precious - and under no circumstances shall abortion occur. Never mind the child may be born to a woman forced to succor the unwanted result of an assault for nine months - or may be completely unable - emotionally or financially - to raise a child (somehow the equal responsibility of the father rarely enters into this issue). See by the time the child is born, it's not their problem or business.
It's the mother's.

It is the woman's responsibility to not get pregnant. If she doesn't want to have children then she needs to keep her legs together. It is no one's responsibility except the mother's to care for and support the child that she chose to have by choosing to have sex. Men, of course, can't be held responsible for giving in to the blandishments of the female person that provoked their base impulses.
Now, as to why the unborn is more precious than the born? That has to do with original sin. Unborn have not had a chance to sin. Once you're out, then original sin takes over and everything after that is a result of your care and upbringing. People that can't support their children should keep their legs together, so social programs won't be needed. And churches should take care of the rest.
I've lived here for a while, and grew up here, so I've got it pretty memorized. I did leave for my first 20 years as an adult, though, so I do know better, but that is the way they think.

Or perhaps they were just abused as children and can't think rationally and have to take it out on someone whether they understand this or anything else or not.
I have always valued Liberty over Life. Especially when it comes to women's bodies, self defense and cigarettes.
The maker and I will solve the details when my deeds are done, so to speak, in the mean time I plan to stay well away from forcing women into any situation they don't feel comfortable in, to include suggesting they choose anything.
One on one, any man is outnumbered by women, in my experience.
Sexist? perhaps, but it's kept me married.
