I need to state clearly that English is not my first language. There are upwards of 600,000 words in the English language. In my native language there are a mere 11,000 and most of those are entire concepts (kind of like the theory of relativity) rather than words which translate individually.

What makes a marriage?
This is something I have thought a lot about recently -
Is it the permission slip obtained from the government?
Is it found in the permissions to have sex granted through religious rites which are conducted?
Is it the people involved?
Is it all of those things?… Read full post »
Factor V Leiden...
Most people do not know what Factor V (factor five) is so I will start there.
Factor V is a protien in the blood which helps your blood to clot when you cut yourself. It is the "stuff" that helps to make your platelets "sticky" so that they clump together… Read full post »
Opinions...
Opinions are like rectums... everyone has one. Most of us have more than one.
In most cases, I will defend unto death your right to express your opinion. Why? Because it's your opinion and you are entitled to both hold it and express it.
Do not EVER confus… Read full post »
14 years on the Cancer roller coaster from Hell
20 years ago come August I learned I had cervical cancer. I was three months pregnant. For twins. It was a roller coaster ride from Hell I would not wish on my worst enemy.
My doctor, a man who normally had a wonderful bedside manner, gave me the weekend to… Read full post »

He was skinned as well.
Lightning Medicine Cloud was not a person - he was an extremely rare non-albino white buffalo born on 12 May, 2011. He was murdered on 04 May 2012. The texas Rangers, Department of Homeland Security, Texas Parks and Wildlife, Hunt County Sheriff's Department… Read full post »
A few of my favorite places/things
When I started thinking about writing this particular post I made a list of all the places and things which I wanted to include. Unfortunately my list was a couple of pages long and so I have to winnow it down to a reasonable length - sort of by category. Today's… Read full post »
"To Ride Pegasys"
The title of this post comes from a book by Anne McCaffrey (1926 - 2011), who was, imho, the "Queen" of science fiction/fantasy. In the book a group of people with some interesting abilities perform some interesting feats using only their minds. (Give it a read if that partiular genre… Read full post »
Someone shoot me... PLEASE
Doc refused to...
My siblings tell me it's not worth wasting a bullet...
My husband LAUGHS at me...
Even the kids and the cats think it's funny I want to be shot at the moment.
Of course if I wasn't in serious pain I likely wouldn't want to be… Read full post »
IF life is so sacred-Questions for the Anti-Choice crowd
Earlier today my youngest, her hearing ear dog and I went to the store. We were at the end of a row of cars, IN the crosswalk where people are required to stop so that people can USE the crosswalk when a twatwaffle with "CHOOSE LIFE" plastered all over his vehicle… Read full post »
Tell me Mr. Zimmerman (Million Hoodie OS March)
Mr. Zimmerman... I'd REALLY like to know what it was about a 16 year old wearing a hoodie, carrying a bag of skittles & an iced tea while walking down the street that "made" you think he was suspicious...
You see...
I'm a mom to children.

Religion and life choices.
All of this discussion of religion, contraception and abortion has gotten me to thinking... and some people aren't going to like it.
For the sake of argument...
It violates MY religious beliefs for organ and tissue transplants to take place. Additionally, it violates… Read full post »

Election Cycle Reminder...
Yes, I know... elections are boring things most of the time. But in this season of caucuses and primaries it pays to remind voters of a couple of things...
First: Presidential primaries/caucuses are typically NOT on the same day as you winnow out senator and congressman… Read full post »

GNS: I fixed my coffee pot... and I didn't kill anyone...

I do not function well without coffee... and after an hour… Read full post »

Saggy Britches, Staple Guns and Axe...
As we all know, I normally reside in a very rural area. Out here in the sticks I appear to have conquered the problem of saggy britches... at least in the kids who come to my house. What did I do?

I laid a staple gun and… Read full post »
The Pilot: Lezlie's Naughty Open Call
