Sounds like Idaho. The third picture is my favorite. The first image is radiant--what are those flowers? Love the barn shot too, well all of them. Now, I will try to rate and see how long it takes for this comment to load.
It only took me three hours to load this post Spud. I only hope I can comment back here.
Don't know the name of the first flower dear Spud.
Shot it from the side of the road.....
Its Monarda didyma and you are up late
I am real proud of ya Jack. TY TY for letting me and everyone else know dear.....
I thought I could miss some of the spammers too by posting at this time of the night. I see how wrong I was......
I was going to email you tomorrow to see how you were but now I don't have to but I think I will anyway. But for now Goodnight
Mission these are fabulous, the bottom one is so cool. The stream with the rhodos is great too. You know I'm lusting after that first one, mine are wretched this year, barely a bud and none have bloomed. Us regular folk call it Bee Balm, I think Jack is an encyclopedia.
@Jack....... :)

You go that right Blue 'cause he is one. I love 'em tho'
Yeah. That is what I have heard it called, Bee Balm.
I like the pictures(like = loves!!!!)

RATED!!!
You've been overdue for a photo essay!! This was fun as always. I love your country strolls.
Good shots! Particularly like the vibrant pink flowers, that exude the summery bloom. There is something characteristical about the tree, the web-like branches seem deliberately formed to shield one from the scorching heat. Nature is always an awesome wonder. Thank you for this splendid shots!
I added the full text of the poem. And a bonus missing flower.
Thanks much Tink, Harry, and Phoenix.
Some nice shots, but especially I like the close-up of the pink-red flower at the top. Is that a little bug sitting on one of them, or a leaf? I like the idea it's maybe a bug... A delicate photo all in all, but that would add to it.
I believe it is a baby green grasshopper Kent.
Thanks for seeing 'im.
Wow. This is so beautiful Mission. You take us with you, Like the fifth, a mixture of old things against Mother Nature. Time. Summer and all it's gifts. Really Nice.
Glad you found something here Rita.
I try to take everybody along when I go....
This is one of the best things you've ever posted Mis. The poem and photos are perfect together. Great Job!
Three hours well spent!
I don't know yet Michael. I'll see later when it gets harder and takes longer to load.....
Wonderful photos ... lovely post, Mission!

I'm glad you persevered the three hours for us but know your frustration too!
I think we ALL do Kate.
and there is the rub......
Oh, what a lovely ride out and away - off to the country and a fresh perspective, replete with the colloquial lingo! Well done, deaaah!
I carried you on my shoulders Song....
I'm not sure I were able to view all of the photos, but what I was able to see, and your words combined were enough to leave me in much appreciation of your work (and thank you for your persistence) ♥R
Your photographs are so cool. I love the last one.~r
Suzanne, thanks for this wonderful photo essay! Clearly, there is lots of beautiful country, plus old fashioned activities in your area.
Reminds me of the scenery around Ferrum College south of Roanoke. Rustic intoxication thar.
Those are beautiful pictures and I know what you mean about uploading, I have done two photo essays recently and it is hellish trying to get the photos posted.
I know that accent. I could hear the words as I read. Great pictures too!
I thank ya'll for stopping in.
It is pure hell to load this today and I dare not even try to respond to each or I will be here three more hours watching the hamster spin the rubber band....I got over a thousand pics and counting. and the lurvly editors don't even answer emails over this.
A cryin' fucking shame for us all.
the song and the photos are wonderfully related. those iron flowers are pretty zippy, eh?
If you like metal art, Diana, there is plenty to see in these parts...
Lovely, Mission. Great shots.
Glad to show them Pilgrim and glad you seen them.
at least I finally heard from the editor last night and she told me to make my photos smaller. I guess my next ones will be thumbnails, or something....
Blessing you for patience, Mission, and for all the beauty you share.
Anna1, I want to say how much your comments mean to me.
It is much appreciated to see them.
You are always a welcome sight here honey.
Excellent missive Neighbor . . . your photographs are as expressive as ever in contrast and composition. Your eye becomes sharper by the frame. Very, very nice work!
Wow! It is a unified thing. It all fits together to create one mood.
The long row of Bee Balm that edges our garden is just beginning to bloom. It will be buzzing full of bees soon, and that is a sound I remember from my childhood in the country. Your post gives me that same feeling of spaciousness and security and the pictures are so rich that you can just about smell the earth itself.
Love the rainbows end. Nice images as well. Cheers
