Just remember the immortal words of the Clintons's pooch, Buddy.
After the Lewinsky scandal Buddy reportedly said, "And I'm the one they neutered." Hope he feels better soon. Is that Direct TV or the Dish Network he's wearing?
Until the end of next week. We can take it off if we're watching him, and Tom tried that today to see if he wanted to go for a walk. He didn't, so back to being Conehead. He's stopped trying to kill it, so looks like it's not the huge pain it was on Wednesday.
Oh, the cone of doom! Our cat had to wear that some years ago and she was almost not quite the same ever again. She grooms a lot anyway (we say she has borderline OCD) and not being able to groom for a week (other than brief periods we took it off each day) drove her nuts. Once it was off for good, she licked herself for about 6 hours straight and nearly denuded herself. We hope never to put her through that again.
if your cat has ocd, there are meds to help her get past it, instead of licking all her fur off. once the habit's broke, she might be ok w/o them. we had to do this for our 'type a' cat; it was a good idea and she stopped looking as if we'd shorn her.
Aw, poor guy, but you've done a good thing by having him neutered. By the way, he has the same sweet face and coloring as my labradoodle, Bailey. Give him a belly rub from me!
Ohhh poor puppy. It is a good thing to do tho. And be firm with the cone - ours was too small and the pup ripped his stitches out - what a mess that turned out to be.
Our dog wouldn't tolerate the cone, so we bought an inflatable version at the local pet store. He didn't seem to mind that one as much, as it didn't obstruct his vision like the cone did.
Yikes, Leto!! He's doing a lot better with the cone, and we take it off when we go on walks. It comes off for good this Friday. Thanks for all the nice notes, everyone!!

woof!
My girl-o-meter just jumped like a mofo.
If I'm correct in my assumption of the 2 body parts he lost, I don't think it's the petting he's worrying about having lost.
The first time I put in on him he stood in the same place for a solid 5 minutes without moving and giving me a loook that said "WTF is this thing".
He's a cutie.
