Moonlight turns the color of blood to black... sad but true. Great post.
last evening’s moon
unthinkable
that those
I care for are
gone

same moon once upon them and you, perhaps
you were together with them.
same moon comes up
indifferent they say
just something
to hold our
tides
respectable.

i guess man set foot on the moon once, they say.
they say alot of shit. a pointless effort, unless
you take into account pictures of earth
blue and rising relentlessly.

build a colony there, i say.
for rich damn fools. so we can look up every night
and know they are reliably on a dead rock.
How often we find those who are gone in the moonlight. Terribly evocative, Mary.
There is such a softness to your voice in these words, M.

You match the painting so beautifully to your words. Well done.

PS: I haven't forgotten I owe you a letter ... a bit busy last night but will write tonight all going well! Much love, friend.
Jmac there is so much truth in your words. The night can bring harshness but it also brings the quiet.

James one can contemplate the lunar cycles and the depths of human emotions the length of a few lifetimes. I’m just stepping back and dealing with the now.

John I know you’ve felt this

LK you’re right I’m not as raw and I guess the softness is a sign of healing. Take your time friend your letters are worth the wait.
Thank you, Mary.

Have a wonderful evening. Talk soon.

Sad and lovely at the same time. Sadness is too often highlighted by the beauty around us.
I am continually awestruck at your magnificent talents both with the pen and with the brush. R
