Working in the summer to stay warm in the winter. Good idea and good poem~
Another picturesque one, and introspective, too. The tarrying for the laters. I too! - I have these four huuuge Catalpa logs I had the City workmen cut and split for me when taking out the old tree, then stripped the bark off the bottoms, to let them 'weep' correctly. They look so tantalizing to me, and I can't wait to find the artisan that will turn them into 4 matched benches for my fire pit. Mmm .. another warmth!
thinking ahead as our forefathers needed to do.
Thinking ahead always a smart move, another excellent piece of writing Michelle.

Excellent use of imagery; beautifully said, Michelle. R
Sometimes the trees must fall, but always a bit sad to see them cut to the ground. This is beautifully written. R
