No Comedy Zone
And it's not the Circus Peanut Shells or the "Dirty Linen" aired out for the world to see; it's the scorn a woman feels when her husband strays with a female less attractive and/or below her station than she - and that's impalpable!
Yes, the unspoken; and it can happen to a Kennedy or a Jane Doe!
No matter who you are; there's the same primal reaction: Rejection, Disrespect, Audacity & Shame. Whether it's under your nose, at a Gstaad Chalet, or in a Motel 6 - the hurt can't tell the difference.
But let me be clear; if it's your house, your bed & your employee - all bets are off & I pray - this Neanderthal has had his last "Kennedy Coattails Ride"!
In this case; it isn't because she used your "His & Hers" Towels, sprayed your favorite perfume between her cleavage or slipped his "Governor" Dress Shirt on after they showered - it's betrayal from both of them to the nth degree & it's hard to come back from there.
But there's only one "given"; that scent isn't your favorite any more. But that's the easy part.
It seems that Maria didn't garner anything from her Grandmother Rose; whose own husband Joseph P. Kennedy - a wealthy businessman & Ambassador to Britian - had an illicit affair with Movie Actress, Gloria Swanson - Star of "Sunset Boulevard".
It was only later in life did the public know that Rose "kinda" knew; but turned a blind eye to it - but that came a little late; as Joe's behavior enabled some of their 9 children to do the same.
All tolled; Joe's betrayal to Rose was, I suppose - the lightest of her emotional loads - compared to losing 4 children on the World's Stage. But because of her abiding faith & the children to care for & teach; she was the quiet in the storm & the anchor of their family.
Maybe Maria did follow that Tenet for as long as she could; but this time - it backfired!
Backfired because of denial, the omnipresent media & our personal communication tools now - Tweets, Texts & Hot Gossip Sites that have surpassed anything that Rose's era could've imagined or dealt with - making that innocent children's Party Game of "Telephone" - just another nostalgic memory for some of us.
People today don't just hear all the crap that's out there - but have a need to devour, dissect & comment like little nervous Squirrels; typing away as if there's an Orgasm waiting at the Finish Line!
If not for all that; Maria might have stuck it out as Rose did - but having an innocent Love-Child in the equation triples the pain - and the split is best for all.
So to Maria I say:
"I truly hope you see that it's merely an "Entitled Stud Complex" & an "Employee Harassment Issue" - and not your culpability, or lack of sexual desirability. You see; no amount of Diction Lessons or creative wifey Blow-Jobs could ever fill that void"!
"So whether you decide to give Arnold a Lifetime Subscription to "GOOD HOUSEKEEPING"...hand delivered & requiring "Signature Confirmation" or opt for a good Physic with "Bobbitt Telepathy Powers" - or none of the above - the World is rooting for you"!
