Great disappointments seem to be as natural as my blonde curls. Today after leaving work Jessica-Laura and I drove to The Asian Restaurant. Closed.
I've learned to make Lemonade out of Lemons, but the exertion is great! We ate at Kulman's and I got the most delicious chocolate shake and alcoholic free beer. My steak mooed at me, but being used to disappointment I decided to cut back on my red meat consumption.
Living with great disappointments- two of them in less than 30 minutes- no Chinese food, live calf for my steak- all required finding silver linings after leaving work and expecting the joy of Chinese food- especially sushi.
Life is so imperfect. In one day I find many disappointments and I make it my goal to find what is worthwhile and good in the midst of pain.
Great disappointments occur, but the only way is GOING FORWARD AND FINDING WHAT IS GOOD AND RIGHT IN WHAT IS. IS THE ONLY WAY TO LIVE WITH JOY. There is no other way to deal with great disappointments.
Prayers help, too.
