Bio
Truths about me I am happily married to my best friend. I really like my adult children as people. I am very okay with turning 50. I am not chasing youth. My mother can make me feel like a teenager in a minuet flat. My grandmother was one of the biggest inspirations in my life. She raised 8 children during the great depression without becoming depressed. My great grandmother was a female bareback horse rider in a famous wild west show. I am perfectly happy living an ordinary life.

What They're Reading

I am often asked by kids how many books I have read. Wow, I can't even venture a guess. Thousands I am sure. I never remember not having something to read near at hand. I grew up in a household full of books and read my way through the public libraryRead full post »

A Prelude to Christmas.

As I went back to work last Monday morning we were all asking each other if we had a nice Thanksgiving.  Of course I politely said yes, how about you?  But the truth is, I don't like Thanksgiving all that much.  For me is it just a prelude to Christmas.  A… Read full post »
