At The Rolling River

At the rolling river I saw a book
moving down the stream.
I waved my hand and the book lifted.

At night I read and read and then
I went to an enchanted world.

I waved my hand again
and I found myself in bed
but saw the time flow away
to the fairy land of midnight.

I fell asleep and returned
to my enchanted world to play.
