Gee, I've missed you!

Rate: 22 Flag

Gosh!  I don’t know if you’ve missed me at all but I sure have missed you!!!    I feel like I’ve been gone for so, so long!  But really, it’s only been something like 11 days  since I was last here! (Who's counting anyway? Oh, yes, that would be me!)

Honestly, I haven’t been here regularly for some months.  There is one of those long stories behind that and perhaps I’ll write something on that sometime soon ... or maybe not.

Most recently I moved house and have been without internet access for most of the last week.  I have it connected now but it's still not good. Not good at all ... it's very, very slow and and keeps dropping out on me. Ugh.

I was going to share a video of the view from my new home but I'm having all sorts of technical issues right now.  I think someone once said, Life wasn't meant to be easy.   Oh well.

So for now ... perhaps I'll just say a big "HELLO!"

Oh, and did I tell you how much I've missed you????

LATE NEWS! I think I have my video problem worked out! YAY!!!

I hope you can hear the birds singing too! : )

We've missed you too. Looking forward that vidoe once you iron out all the ugh worthy technical problems.
HUGGGGGGGGGGG and glad you are okay..
Thanks, fernsy! Nothing seems to go very smoothly lately ... but, hey, I'm back here now ... so things are looking up! I'll try to post the video soon.
Linda, you made me smile with the picture of that big hug! Thank you!!!!! : )
My word it's all kinds of lovely out your back door....I think I'm addicted to the internet, how do you go without for a week? Hope your new house is full of warmth...
I miss you! Know I've been absent a bit, but love your posts!
MH (L), it is lovely, isn't it?

The secret to going without the internet? Move house! Keep busy!

Actually, I missed being here and friends in particular, terribly ...
How wonderful to hear those birds I've never heard before! They sound very big!
Hey, Michelle! How sweet! Thank you! I hope all is well. I have a lot of catching up to do!
Hi Spike! The birds as I sit on my deck on a very rainy afternoon! They're not so big .. at least I don't think so. ... medium to small sized birds. Do you know what a Magpie looks like? Or a Currawong? Most are around that size or smaller.
Oh Katie, I've missed you too! No matter because love always waits for friends to return. Love the video, it's so pretty and exotic. The bird sounds fascinate me and your were trilling in a soothing manner, I like to mimic them so they will stay and visit.

I'm so happy I stayed up late tonight because now I got to see your post.
Well, I for one (of many, I'm sure), have noticed you've been busy elsewhere for months...I've been sending you good vibes for awhile now, reading between the lines that you might need them : )
Computer issues are so boring, aren't they? Especially when people you care about are so far flung in this world : )
I hope your new home brings you much joy and contentment, Kate, and glad to see you here again!
"...love waits for friends to return.." ... sigh. It does.

I'm so happy you stayed up late tonight too for you have made me smile. Thank you, sweet, sweet friend!
Just Thinking, you know, I think I too read between the lines in your comments at times and got a sense that you were feeling that I was in need. It's funny how we feel these things at times ... or just know when a friend is in need.

Thank you so much for your sensitivity and your caring.

You have touched my heart. Thank you.
So exotic with the bird songs and the recent rain. Amazing video. Thank you!
My pleasure, Zanelle! I live in a sub-tropical climate so it is rather exotic in it's way. Rain, humidity, rainforests and some pretty amazing wildlife all a part of my life here.
Makes me want to get on a jet plane. . .

Yes, I hear the birds.

Hope you now have some time to relax a bit; grow a new set of nerves.

Welcome back.

Welcome back.
I too took some time off Little Kate.......about three weeks. It's also nice to be back. Good to read you again! :)
I saw this on Facebook and absolutely loved it! Your home must be beautiful because the scenery outside the back is so beautiful! Welcome back!
Can I come live under your palm tree?
John, there's not much time to relax at the moment ... still quite a bit to be done ... but the up side is I'm on the RIGHT SIDE of things and time to relax is not far away I imagine! As for growing a new set of nerves ... I KNOW I'm already doing that! : )

I can't tell you how much I appreciate your care and support. Thank you.
Blinddream, I think perhaps a little time away makes us appreciate what we have/had just that little more. Thank you so much for your very kind words too ... I am honoured and indeed very grateful.

Birds chirping here too, well, earlier, not right now. I eated them!! :D
Hoi, Kate!

That looks and sounds like a lovely place. How kind of the fauna to seranade you ~
I Love Life (P), it is beautiful here ... and actually what you see in the video is from the upper deck that runs along the front of the house. I'm very lucky to be able to just look out at this whether from my bedroom, kitchen, or dining room!

Bobbot, it's very wet under that palm tree right now!

Tink! You didn’t, did you? You DID!!!!! NAUGHTY Kitty! NAUGHTY, TINK!!!
LOL!!! : )
Hi there, Tink!

Catch! Hoi! I’ve been here for six days now and the birds have been singing, rain or shine, every day. I think I’m really going to like it here!
What do you mean "IF" we missed you? HA! Most happy to see you back on the shores of OS.

It was lovely to take in the view from your new home ... feels lush, humid, alive ... aren't you Aussies gearing up for fall ? We've had quite the late winter here in the PNW ... woke up to 1/2 inch of snow this morning!! God/Mother Nature ... those crazy kids.

Ooops ... sorry to drone on ... just so happy to know you're here forever how long this visit. I like being connected.

Yes, eyespye, we moved into fall ... or Autumn as we're more apt to say down here ... on 1st March. It's been raining constantly for some days now but this afternoon the sun is showing it's face again and it is just SO humid!

And, hey, my good friend, please drone on and on and on!!! I could listen to you (well read you) all day long ... and I say that without a word of a lie! I've been stuck for words so much lately and I know I owe you a letter but we're good, right? I WILL catch up with writing sometime soon!
Of course we're good! Letters are wonderful but the spirit is what's connected. I look forward to more of both. (insert giant grinning emoticon here)
She's landed on her feet, by the look of it ~ lovely Kate, it looks brand new !
& the view ! I see mist & distant glimpses, hear the birds ... sounds like home.
eyespye, you're a wonderful, wonderful friend!!! [insert giant grinning emoticon here too!!!]
Love the video!!!! Twice around the horn, and birds everywhere!!!
A "Currawong"??? You're kidding.,....right????
Isn't that some sort of cure for a wrong someone did you?
Kim, the legs are a bit shaky still but my feet have landed in a place that I call home and is mine for now. The view through gum trees to hills and then distant mountains brings both joy and serenity. How lucky I am.
Sorry I'm a bit late. You know I miss you but am so happy to see the new place. It looks (and of course sounds) so peaceful. I wish you peace, my friend.
JD, I'm glad you liked it. I've watched it a few times myself and then think "What are you doing?! It's playing for real right here ... right now!" It's just gorgeous here. A currawong a cure for a wrong doing??? No, you're kidding, right?
tril, you're not late at all! It is never too late where friends are concerned. Peace is finding me slowly but surely. Thank you ... and much love ... always.
Lovely to hear your voice, Kate, and lovely as well to see your view!
Can't quite tell whether you have found Kate's Kingdom ... or whether Kate's Kingdom ... has found you. Lovely to look out with you!
Katie : I never kid...well...except when I post on OS...or talk to people....or in my sleep.
Come to think about it...that is ALL I do!
anna1liese, I'm not sure either who or what found the other ... just meant to be I think. Thank you always for comforting support and beautiful, gentle friendship.
JD, you mean I should never have taken anything you've said seriously? Ah but you're kidding again, right?!!! You nearly got me again!!! : )
Beautiful new pad! Taking reservations?
Mr P, for you and Mrs P, I sure am! Let me know when you're on your way ... there's a lovely room with a view waiting!
Ok well we are always here for you...

Algis, THANK YOU!!! : )
Of course we missed you! Happy New Home! What a beautiful deck to sit and bird watch from. Everything looks so lush and green, but its getting that way here to. Glad you are back! :)
Whew! We were making preparations to send an expedition. Thanks for checking in, Kate. As my internet connection is even dicier than yours I'm afraid I cannot watch your video, but I hear the birds chirping. Nice big windows!
I have missed you too, Kate! Congratulations on the move and regaining internet access. xox
P.S. What kind of birds are those?
Good luck with anything that challenges you in your new home!!!
PS.The birds sound pretty!!!
Congratulations on your move, Little Kate! I've missed you and your lovely poems and stories, and welcome back!

It sounds like a jungle where you live. I looked up magpies on Wikipedia. It said: Magpies are believed to be one of the most intelligent of all animals: the European Magpie is one of the few animal species known to be able to recognize itself in a mirror test. Very cool!!
Shutterbug, the deck is just wonderful to have. I'm sitting there now ... a strong breeze has picked up and the leaves of the trees are rustling loudly.

Chicken Maaaan (um how many a's is that?? oh never mind!) ... I'm sorry to hear you have a dicey internet. I put up with the lousy signal from the other company up until 2 days ago and then had to cancel. I have a much better one now and boy am I glad about that!

Erica, thank you for the welcome back! There are all sorts of birds here ... I've seen king parrots, galahs, magpies, kookaburras and currawongs. The ones making the most noise I think are the currawongs and magpies but I'm no expert on the different birds, that's for sure!

Courtney, thank you! And it is lovely to meet you too. Thank you for coming by.

Joanne, how lovely! Thank you! I didn't know that about magpies but they are a smart bird ... and not afraid either!
