So Long Bert Cooper

Rate: 2 Flag

I haven't been watching Mad Men lately because of the cable situation, but was sad to hear that Bert quit.  I know most people know this about Robert Morse, that he played an ambitious smartass in How to Succeed in Business Without Even Trying,  but my aunt, who is of the Mad Men era did not, so I thought I would post these adorable videos of him from so long ago.

I love the silly dance at the end of Brotherhood of Man.
latethink,
I don't usually go in for this kind of musical but it is still fun to see the young Bert Cooper. I totally forgot about this. It was our high school play ... back in the mid- 70's.
I loved Robert Morse. Smart and cute and funny.
My son sang this song at one of his High School talent shows. The musical, "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" was a one of my musical touch stones, while growing up and my favorite song was "Brotherhood of Man". This song was moving and a true anthem of comical idealism. Robert Morse is a timeless performer and a gift to our musical landscape and culture. Bravo, Robert Morse!!
