I've been using the net in various roles—technical, social, and political—for the last 30 years. I'm disappointed that most forums don't pay for good writing and I'm ever in search of forums that do. (I've not seen any Tippem money, that's for sure.) And I worry some that our posting here for free could one day put paid writers in Closed Salon out of work. See my personal home page for more about me.

It's lovely to see your open heart. Happy Valentine's Day.
A very lovely Valentine! I remembered the day by making my spouse a batch of homemade chocolate cookies.
That's gotta be better than flowers, surely?
the best Valentine I have seen yet..
Wonderful and thank you!
Lovely! The way to a woman's heart is to speak your heart. Lovely!
'...the sum of all my actions on all the other days ...'

I wrote that down, thankyou.
You are sui generis Kent. Whatever works is great.
Oh Kent ... just oh ...
It Woo Woos me. Rated with a Jali smile of course. :-)
OOOOOh. An OPEN HEART! I get it. Well done.
Hallmark won't like it if this goes viral.
How blessed you are. Lovely post.
Coyote, thanks for sharing in the fun. I hope you had a great day, too.

Lefty, Lezlie, and Sheila—thanks for visiting and for your support.

Mishima, sounds delicious.

Norwonk, I was crossing my fingers. My wife seems to have accepted my wimp-out with her usual grace.

rita, that's quite kind of you. Thanks. :)

gringa, thanks. My wife and I are certainly ones to speak our respective minds on a variety of matters. It works well for both of us.
Great valentine. Value received.
Kim, I always like it when people point to something specific in my writings that caught their eye (good or bad, actually—both praise and criticism are so much more useful when specific). Thanks for doing that. :)

Lea, I confess I had to look that phrase up. Not one I knew. Now I'm blushing though. It's kind of you to say.

scanner, Brianna, and keri—thanks to each of you for visiting, and for the support.

anna, I'll take it. Sometimes a word says a lot.

Jali, thanks for the positive rating, glad I provoked a smile.

Ash, thanks. Yes, an open heart. Certainly not an empty one. :)

aka, I'm not expecting it to go viral. The turnout it's already gotten has me quite pleased.

Sarah, yup, I'm pretty lucky. She's a great partner.

jls, thanks. Good to know it hit the mark.
Lovely, but a lotta work for only one day's benefit
Tom, it took about 2 hours from the point where I had a concrete concept of what I wanted to do to the posting. (There was some time spent thinking up the idea that's hard to account for.) My wife spends more than that fixing dinner some days (not counting time it takes her to think something up), and your comment could apply equally well about that. She's a great cook, but wow—what a lot of work preparing food is. Any effort I put into trying to please her day to day is just an attempt to do justice to some other thing she's probably done for me. We complement each other well since we prefer doing different kinds of things. Such is a good partnership. Thanks for visiting, by the way. :)
you are the only person I know who could get the word "megacorps" into a poetic valentine and it still come out good :-)
Sandra, aw, thanks! Fun to have you visit.
That is brilliant and beautiful. Rated. It's also the first valentine card I have stolen in many years (forgive me).
You are so right. Love everyday in actions and affection are worth so much more than roses on one day.
rated with love
Wow! You get BIG points from momma for the Valentine, and even more for the explanation. Good on ya, mate!
I forgive you but it will not be forgotten. Good one KP!

My spouse and I enjoyed watching this for free on Valentine's Day:
Sandra, thanks for stopping by. Good to know the poetry of it worked for you.

Bart, I'm glad you liked it. Remind me to blog on the importance of copyright sometime. :)

Poetess, well said as usual. Thanks for visiting.

Tom, I'm always glad to have more and bigger points.

Algis, thanks.

Prof. Mary, that's an interesting cross-reference. I appreciate you sharing it.
