One moment I was kvetching with new friends about ways to make our funerals personal and realistic, and the next minute I found myself helping to organize a pilot project!
If you are in Portland OR around Easter, please join us: Dr. Carol Brownlow and some of her long time collaborators have prepared material about authentic end-of-life rituals, and we'd like YOU to come discuss them, and give us your feedback. We have been inspired by Cascadia's "VIEWS - Conversations on Aging" and some of their facilitators are helping; likewise a board member of Funeral Consumers Alliance of Oregon is helping to organize; but it's not an official project of anyone yet.
The meeting is in SE Portland. Contact me directly for full details. (If you are not in Portland but would like some related information, I'd be happy to send it.) Thank you for your interest! Here's the information to forward:
