Earlier this week, Salon published a moving piece by Tobin Levy called "My sister's perfect life." From the title alone, you can probably see where this essay and my follow-up open call are headed. Whether you're an overachieving big brother or a black sheep younger sister, chances are that your relationship with your sibling is loaded in one way or another, regardless of how well you may get along. Many of us spend our entire lives learning, and in some instances unlearning, how to navigate these perilous waters.
Open Salon wants to know: Do you have a sibling rivalry? And if so, how does it manifest itself? Has your relationship improved or deteriorated over time?
Be sure to tag your posts "Sibling Rivalry Open Call." We'll highlight the most relevant submissions both on Open Salon and the home site. Please note that by using the tag "Sibling Rivalry Open Call," you're giving us permission to crosspost your piece in part or in its entirety on Salon.

@Joan - can you repost that with the OC tag? (Is that against a rule?)
Jake, I'll cut you some slack this time. ;0) Just be glad I wasn't there to quell you with a look over the top of my glasses.

"About Open Salon
Open Salon is a publishing platform with a built-in audience. It was developed for writers, photographers and artists of any stripe in need of a smart home for their work (and not one of those giant, anonymous blog networks), and who are hoping to be rewarded for it..."
I am a photographer, trying to find my way into the gallery world, and I am here to have as much creative criticism I can, but also to make friends, and learn to communicate and write in another language.
I know that in the cover, there is sometimes the work of only a few photographers in here as EΡ's, but the why I am writing to you is first to inform you that here in OS by the members of OS we have the GALLERY CHALLENGE, where a theme issue is given and we all can have our work seen. (I recently learned that in Wordρress there are weekly image challenges,as you can check.)
Maybe, a challenge like this, could be ''adoρted'' by you, and be an OS challenge tradition.
And the secong reason that I am writing this, for once again, is because I want to draw your attention to the artists in here, and this attention is not demonstrated in the OC or in the cover. Ρlease, do not consider this, as anything of criticism, or nothing else, but my true interest, to be in a challenging environment, where art works and artists, can have their smart home, as well and in the same way, as ρersonal stories, find their way.
Where are the artists and photographers in the cover of todays OS, I am wondering, only reading, what OS is...
