Daddy meets Mummy, meets Boy?
Alright, casting directors should really be supervised. I went to see the third installment of "The Mummy" series tonight, "The Tomb of the Dragon Emperor." It was everything I expected in a sequel that has passed its uniqueness hey-day.
I was completely annoyed with the casting in this movie. I hate… Read full post »
"Milk" the movie
So this winter the buzz around San Francisco was that Gus Van Sant was filming a movie here in town about Harvey Milk. So of course out of complete narcism, and curiousity I spent my free time showing up when ever they were filming around the Castro. Of course, so did… Read full post »
Batman was da' bomb
Heath Ledger rocked as the Joker! - a truly evil Joker.
Plugging Away! More Tech updates to Open Salon...
So today was a day of releasing bug fixes!
Over the past few weeks we've collected quite a lot of input from the Open Salon community, and we have also collected quite a long list of bugs. Today we released a stack of fixes to several of these. So… Read full post »
Tech updates... fixes this week in Open Salon
Hi All! Thanks to all of you for the bug reports and feed back! We have been really overwhelmed with all of the input, so I apologize if it takes a while to get back to some of you who have emailed.
This week we have repaired the… Read full post »
Holy Cow! What a movie! I was throuroughly surprised and entertained.
I was thinking what everyone else was... ya, ya, ya,
another middle-aged, washed up, coke-head, 80's movie star trying
to make a swan song come back in a lame superhero movie that relies
on special effects… Read full post »
Well it did actually work and I was able to surf around... now I need to think about how this might be optimized to run on the iPhone. Today the iPhone, tomorrow the world! Muwhahahaha...
OK this is just freaky! This is the kind of stuff you only see in sci-fi movies and grocery store tabloids. But what is even more interesting is the cultural implication -- is it any wonder that there are Hindu gods with six arms? or two faces? It makes… Read full post »
One more just for fun
This is Sony commercial was filmed in New York City. Absolutely amazing that this was all filmed with stop motion and REAL CLAY figures. Stunning amount of work went into it... and still can't quite figure out how they got all the colored rabbits to appear to hop without strings or… Read full post »
Another Sony commercial
This isn't as cool and shooting a million super balls out of a cannon... but it is pretty cool. It would have been neat to see in person. This was filmed in the Czech Republic (I think) where they were getting ready to demolish the building.
Sony commercial that never aired in US
This was one of the first Sony Bravia commercials. It never aired in the US, but was filmed locally here in San Francisco. I've got no clue who the band is, but the music is way awesome. If any knows the band, send it to me :)
Best picture EVER!
Ya' gotta love those high speed shutter cameras! This is such a
cool picture... and besides... seals are way LAME!

Rachel's Pizza
This is Rachel eating what looks like some really yummy pizza... I want a slice! Oddly enough this is the very same picture that crashed the image uploading functions and cover page... hmmmmm...

Fred

This is my pet snowflake eel fred. He lives in my living room aquarium with my pet leopard shark murray.
My mom says I have to get rid of fred. I was away on
vacation and she was trying to hand feed murray (he likes to
goldfish from your hand) and… Read full post »
