Women of the world how far have we come?

Rate: 1 Flag

     I weep for my sisters.

     I pray for our daughters.

I dream of a day that this is all a whisper in our past.

We all need to make the world aware that this is still happening to millions of young women.

We need to stop passively accepting that only culture and religion dictate these atrocities.

Truth changes depending on your perspective. Think of your daughter, your sister, your niece, your neighbor.....

Our life is what our actions make it!

It semms that most of the dominant religions are scared of women, so they counteract their fear with insane dictates on what to wear, being submissive, mutilating genitlas, and needing to suffer during childbirth. The only wonder is why do women allow this to happen? If we collectively rejected this misogyny, the world would be a much better place. R
Collectively.....loudly....a frankly if female power is so frightening--maybe we need to channel it so it serves us,instead
of deterring us from making change!. Thank you for your post.
