Hey! I resemble that remark--I don't feel like I finished last.

I've been thinking a lot about this. I've concluded that good guys/gals (not nice guys- that makes me think of artificial wimps for some reason) might appear to "lose" but the goodness is its own reward and their winning lasts. Hope you don't turn rotten, J.D., That would be a shame. Hope you vent about his in a way that really lets you get rid of some steam.

Bad guys win....every time.....I just don't get it....

But, then maybe they get stricken with some hideous diseases. Please, let me have that fantasy cause I'm dealing with bad guy after bad guy ;(

I think you are one of the nicest guys and in my mind, you aren't in a line at all. Your niceness floats. Only those bad guys need lines!

It does seem that way sometimes. Some people simply manipulate and bully their way to the top.

They might finish a "worldly" last. But my guess is their inner lives might just be healthier - more contented - richer. There's no competition in that arena. R

But, are they TRULY happy?

But honey you are missing the point, yes good guys finish last but they are happy, where those who chase after more and more will never find happiness they will always be chasing for something better. Find your comfort spot quit worrying about that man who will never have enough and embrace what you have.
Also dare I say it screw him and the horse he road in on!!! You are 5 times the man of any of them.
It's just the ones chasing after the man with it all just want what he has, not him....

May be true of jobs and such and for the girls who too lust after power and prestige. But not for the girl you would choose. That one's off the lemmings' path.

Unfortunately we do all have dark sides....but, when it comes down to the finish line, the bigger person, the better person is the one who can look themselves in the mirror and realize that they are worth something more than the fake surroundings that surround the desires of this world. When it matters is when you are standing before your Heavenly Father and seeing the goodness that he sees in you and not all of the worldly things that were gifted to you. You are a blessing to everyone JD~please see what the rest of us do and keep your chin up.
