Sarah Silverman is a Far Left “comedienne” who, like all members of that swanky ilk, dwell in the harbor of safe humor such as making fun of Sarah Palin and making abortion jokes.  She’s like Bill Maher or David Letterman in that way… often going for the low hanging fruit.

And she didn’t have to convert to Judaism to make Jewish jokes so, you know, she’s got that going for her.

Were she interested in truly edgy comedy maybe she’d start doing Mohammed jokes but that would probably get her on some Muslim’s fatwah and, perhaps, beheaded.

Or she could joke about how Liberals like women to think they are really about liberating women but yet it all seems to end up in a cesspool of porn, abortion, single motherhood, and feeling like a used up piece of meat.

But that would take true introspection so instead it’s a few Jewish jokes, an Asian or black joke thrown in for good measure, then some bashing of Conservatives and all of the sudden she’s soooo cutting edge.

George Carlin made people think.  Sure, he could be crude but the main point of his comedy was intellectual not crudeness.  Silverman is, instead, one of those people who sometimes makes a point despite the crudeness:

Strippers should be role-models for little girls. If only for the fact that they wax their assholes.

Everybody blames the Jews for killing Christ, and the Jews try to pass it off on the Romans. I’m one of the few people who believes it was the blacks.

So instead of doing something that really might upset her fans (thus making her truly controversial) we have her idea at being clever which is a before and after “abortion” picture:

‘Got a quickie aborsh in case R v W gets overturned.’

I’ve seen some of her comedy specials and she’s a talented singer, musician, writer, and comedienne but her critical thinking skills have clearly not developed yet – even at the age of 41.

Silverman will gain some publicity for her burrito/abortion photo but, more importantly, she will simply confirm to her Liberal fans that she (and they, by extension) are just so avant garde because they make and laugh at abortion jokes and thus they really stand for women’s rights.
