- I’ve always loved baking. I come from a family of amazing bakers going back many generations. And I have two large bookcases in my living room, both of them filled only with my almost 1000 cookbooks. I even considered it as a career and almost attended pastry school in San Francisco after college. But I went the route of social media and community marketing and got a Masters in Communication Management from the Annenberg School for Communication at USC. So baking is just a hobby. But I take hobbies seriously! And getting to moonlight as a baker is a great thing. I’m very happy.

Meeting Alice Medrich, the First Lady of Chocolate
Several weeks ago I flew up to San Francisco to hear a talk at

cookbook collection. The shop owners regularly invite cookbook

Soooooooo, I decided to make a Happy Go Marni heart-shaped plate. I

Stovetop Crispy Corn Flake Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars
If you are a peanut butter fan, this bar is for you! I can comfortably make that claim because I served it to a bunch of peanut butter lovers and they all had glowing assessments. One said, "I think you need to add this to your regular repertoire."/…

Chocolate Pecan Pie with the Flakiest Crust Everrrrrr!
This is such an amazing chocolate pecan pie, and I shouldn't be surprised...it's from Alice Medrich! Don't just make it at Thanksgiving time. Pecans are always readily available, and deliciousness should be fair game anytime of year. It's not a difficult recipe, either. The filling is pretty basic/…

Board Certified Banana Fudge Brownies with Walnuts
I brought these to work and people
went bananas! I've learned over years of bringing treats to

brownies are… Read full post »

One Bottle of Beer Bread
Do you know why the song "99

story. Believe it at your own risk. There once were 100 bottles of
beer. A nice round number. But someone stole a bottle to make this
