Ezili Dantò is an award winning playwright, a performance poet, author and human rights attorney. She was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and raised in the USA. She holds a BA from Boston College, a JD from the University of Connecticut School of law. She is a human rights lawyer, cultural and political activist and the founder and president of the Ezili’s Haitian Lawyers Leadership Network (HLLN). She runs the Haitian Perspectives on-line journal and the Ezili Dantò Newsletter. Ezili’s HLLN is the recognized leading and most trustworthy international voice in Haiti advocacy, human rights work, Haiti news and Haiti news analysis. HLLN’s work is central to those concerned with the welfare of the people of Haiti, Haiti capacity building, sovereignty, institutionalization of the rule of law, and justice and peace without occupation or militarization. Ezili Dantò is also an educator who specializes in teaching about the light and beauty of Haitian culture; the Symbolic and Archetypal Nature of Haitian Vodun; the illegality and immorality of forcing neoliberal policies on Haiti and the developing world... Since the UN-imported cholera outbreak on October 2010, Ezili' HLLN has insisted that environmental clean-up, clean water and sanitation are the only permanent solution to stop the UN cholera spread. Zili Dlo is a humanitarian project that provides free clean water. For more go to the Ezili Danto/HLLN websites at http://www.ezilidanto.com/ and http://www.ezilidanto.com/zili

The Black Man has always made a fine soldier, in fact the finest soldiers in the world right now are found in Africa under the command of Major General Laurent Nkunda, chairman of the CNDP -- Le Congrès National pour la Défense du Peuple. Every globalist in the world wants him dead but he has carved out a chunk of Central Africa, which includes the park that harbors their precious Mountain Gorillas, for himself and dares them to come and get him. The Zulus took on the might of the British empire in the height of its power with spears. The truth be known it was history's sainted Bartolomé de las Casas who brought the Black Man to the New World as a slave when he made the correct (I am a landscape contractor and I can personally verify this) observation that one black man can do the work of 6 Indians.
In fact Ezili you may be in luck soon. If Obama keeps pushing the Russians and Chinese the way he has been doing the people of Haiti may be seeing an influx of brand shiny new AK47’s, 74’s, and Chinese SK’s (all really good weapons). Then we will see who’s really in charge of Haiti.
The imperialists bray like donkeys because they are born to it. Change is not possible for them. Only resistance can stem their advance.
Feliz Año 2012 Ezili,

every day that I live here in Venezuela (and in the W.I.s) making and taking my perspective from this point of view, becomes another day of deepening understanding, of clarification, purification perhaps, of a sort, like that of drinking pure clean water... realizing what that's like... so simple it would seem, without all the toxins and poisons too often present...

History sometimes seems so hopelessly ensnared with toxins, that one is reluctant to pour it out upon the souls of the present, todays children...

But perhaps they are the only ones with filters fine enough, strong and youthful enough, to distill the lessons from that baleful archive of mistaken human endeavor.

Best to you, Ezili, for teaching history and making (and delivering) purified waters.

Saludos poeta!
