That is just what I noticed in all those photos of him...those dead seeming eyes....
Have you seen the children's book called "Uncle Andy"?
That's one my kids had. Told from the viewpoint of a nephew of Warhol's.
Lots of conversations grew out of that story... : )
Andy's eyes were not dead at all. Just shifty.
The "blank' business was just a pose. Andyis one of the lievliest people I've known. Cut away the Pop Art "Dandy' and you'll find th big fluffy teenage girl he reall was.
