Who says Jesus died for our sins?

Rate: 1 Flag

Seriously, who?  Jesus didn't.  He said a lot of things that Christians today do not follow at all, but it wasn't Jesus or God, but just our lowly human interpretation that decided we should all feel obligated to belong to an organized money sucking dogmatic group that meets in a building once a week.

The truth is, he died because people are jerks, they're cruel, judgemental, control freaks who can't stand anyone who's different, who rocks the boat, or who goes against the status quo.

Jesus told us things like, turn the other cheek, judge not lest ye be judged, let those without sin cast the first stone, and he befriended the poor, the sick, and the desperate, his closest followers were fishermen, prostitutes and lepers.

It seems the modern Christian has learned NOTHING from Jesus, their hatred for so much is so all consuming, they passionately persecute others in the name of God and are exclusionary of Jesus's love.

The hyprocracy is so obnoxious and yet swallowed so blindly by so many, I'm sure if Jesus were here today he would be truly saddened at how little his words were heeded.

Show me a Christian who has love for everyone, including gays and abortion doctors and muslims and atheists, and I'll show you a true Christian.  The rest of you need to re-read the New Testament for yourselves and get a clue.

I'm with you on this! Christian love has ruined this country by being an exclusive club that discriminates and hates. In their Easter bonnets I don't trust any of them. Thanks for this post as I think religion needs to be exposed for the trouble it causes and the true teachings of the great people who have walked this earth need to shine for what they are. Jesus must have been an amazing person and it is just a shame what people have done in his name.
I absolutely agree with you here! It seems that so called Christians of today identified and perhaps learned from the persecutors themselves judging from today's society. Those who do not label themselves as Christians or worshippers of any religion for that matter are perhaps the more loving, accepting people that we should emulate.
